Introduction Temporary policy changes during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic facilitated rapid expansion of medication for opioid use disorder via telemedicine (tele-MOUD). Evidence tele-MOUD best practices and its impact on treatment engagement retention remains limited. This quality improvement initiative compared implementation among Pennsylvania (MOUD) programs, evaluated sociodemographic characteristics patients using tele-MOUD, described trends in patient retention. Methods Five health systems with MOUD programs completed questionnaires regarding their models provided aggregated data in-person visits 2020. Three monthly appointment (scheduled, completed, no-show, visits) over period which scaled up. Results Differences protocols related to provision inductions, eligibility operationalization remote drug testing. Across 88% prescribers conducted appointments, 50% used We observed differences, a greater proportion female, White, non-Hispanic tele-MOUD. data, overall enrollment increased, new remained relatively constant. Abstract Aim This study aimed to explore the experiences of alcohol and other drug nurses transitioning telehealth due COVID‐19 pandemic. Background has caused immense disruption healthcare services, reduce viral transmission, many services moved off‐site care delivery modalities such as telehealth. Design We used a qualitative descriptive design for this study. Methods Secondary analysis semistructured interviews with from Australia New Zealand ( n = 19) was conducted in July August 2020. Data were analysed using thematic reported COREQ guidelines. Results Three identified: ‘“All our face‐to‐face contact ceased clients”: Changing service delivery’, ‘“How do I my job when can't see you?”: An anxious shift delivery’ ‘“A lot Indigenous people don't like FaceTiming all that”: Challenges through telehealth’. Conclusion Participants challenges modalities. The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed how people seeking to reduce opioid use access treatment services and navigate efforts abstain from using opioids. Social distancing policies have drastically reduced many forms of social support, but they may also upended some perceived barriers reducing or abstaining use.This qualitative study aims identify informal coping strategies for among Reddit users who posted in opioid-related subreddits at the beginning pandemic.We extracted data 2 major subreddits. Thematic analysis was used evaluate subreddit posts dated March 5 May 13, 2020, that referenced use, resulting a final sample 300 were coded analyzed.Of posts, 100 (33.3%) discussed least 1 type strategy. Those included psychological behavioral skills, adoption healthy habits, substances manage withdrawal symptoms. In addition, 12 (4%) explicitly mentioned as an opportunity cessation reduction use.Reddit discussion forums provided community share support others during pandemic. Future research needs assess impact on behaviors, especially periods limited isolation, these can inform future curbing epidemic other substance-related harms.
