The role of the intestinal microbiota in diagnosis and treatment pancreatic diseases is increasingly significant. Consequently, fecal transplantation (FMT) emerging as a promising therapeutic avenue for various disorders, including cancer, pancreatitis, type 1 diabetes (T1D). This innovative procedure entails transferring gut from healthy donors to individuals affected by ailments with potential restore balance alleviate associated symptoms. FMT represents pioneering approach improve patient outcomes diseases, offering tailored treatments customized individual microbiomes specific conditions. Recent research highlights benefits targeting personalized interventions disorders. However, comprehensive understanding intricate interplay between physiology warrants further investigation. necessity additional studies endeavors remains crucial, especially elucidating both adult pediatric cases pathological

SUMMARY The gut microbiota is a major factor contributing to the regulation of energy homeostasis and has been linked both excessive body weight accumulation fat mass (i.e., overweight, obesity) or loss, weakness, muscle atrophy, depletion cachexia). These syndromes are characterized by multiple metabolic dysfunctions including abnormal food reward intake, storage, low-grade inflammation. Given increasing worldwide prevalence obesity, cachexia, associated disorders, novel therapeutic strategies needed. Among different mechanisms explaining how capable influencing host metabolism balance, numerous studies have investigated complex interactions existing between nutrition, microbes, their metabolites. In this review, we discuss microbes microbiota-derived metabolites regulate metabolism. We describe role barrier function in onset inflammation context. explore importance gut-to-brain axis glucose but also key played liver. Finally, present specific examples using targeted approaches such as prebiotics probiotics might affect metabolites, signaling pathways, with reflect on challenges move from bench bedside.

The human microbiome, particularly the gut has emerged as a central determinant of health and disease. Dysbiosis, an imbalance in microbial composition gut, is associated with variety metabolic other diseases, highlighting potential for microbiota-targeted treatments. Fecal microbiota transplantation received considerable attention promising therapy to modulate microbiome restore homeostasis. However, challenges remain, including standardization, safety, long-term efficacy. This review summarizes current knowledge on fecal describes next generation therapies targeting microbiome. looked at mechanistic understanding alternative strategies, elucidating their role improving dysbiosis-associated disorders, such obesity, type 2 diabetes others. Additionally, this discussed growing application Insights from clinical trials, preclinical studies, emerging technologies provide comprehensive overview evolving landscape microbiome-based interventions. Through critical assessment advances prospects, aims highlight therapeutic pave way innovative approaches precision medicine personalized

There is a growing need to develop new approaches prevent and treat diseases related metabolic syndromes, including obesity or type 2 diabetes, that focus on the different factors involved in pathogenesis of these diseases. Due role gut microbiota regulation glucose insulin homeostasis, probiotics with beneficial properties have emerged as an alternative therapeutic tool ameliorate diseases-related disturbances, fat excess inflammation. In last few years, strains bacteria, mainly lactic acid bacteria (LAB) species from genus Bifidobacterium, potential due their anti-obesogenic and/or anti-diabetic properties. However, vivo studies are needed demonstrate mechanisms probiotic features. this context, Caenorhabditis elegans has very powerful simple model study physiological molecular effects applications regarding pathologies syndrome. This review aims summarize main describing anti-obesogenic, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory using C. research model, well providing description activities.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is defined by the presence of hepatic steatosis, detected on ultrasonography (US) imaging or histology, and at least one criteria for Syndrome diagnosis. Simple non-invasive tests (NITs) have been proposed as an acceptable alternative when US biopsy are not available feasible but validated MASLD. In this observational study, we investigated reliability NITs MASLD detection whether sex-differences in screening methods should be considered.

The intestinal microbiota refers to the collection of microorganisms that exist in human gut. It has been said bacteria influence development metabolic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, they have roles immunomodulation, protection against pathogens, blood vessel growth, repairing wall, and neurological system. In this review, we look at latest research regarding interactions between gut oral antihyperglycemic drugs present data suggesting microbiome may help counteract reduced glucose tolerance insulin resistance associated with disorders. We found antidiabetic can significant impacts on composition function, potentially influencing both efficacy side effects these medications. Additionally, discovered microbial-based therapeutics, including probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, fecal be considered when discussing preventive measures personalized treatment options for type 2 mellitus. Understanding how modulate function is essential optimizing their therapeutic minimizing potential adverse effects. relationship glycemic agents, not fully understood, currently subject increasing discussion. proven impact effectiveness medications, but further field uncover novel strategies other disorders by targeting microbiota.

Diabetes mellitus represents a significant global health problem. The number of people suffering from this metabolic disease is constantly rising and although the incidence heterogeneous depending on region, country, economic situation, lifestyle, diet level medical care, it increasing worldwide, especially among youths children, mainly due to lifestyle environmental changes. pathogenesis two most common subtypes diabetes mellitus, type 1 (T1DM) 2 (T2DM), substantially different, so each form characterized by different causation, etiology, pathophysiology, presentation, treatment. Research in recent decades increasingly indicates potential role gut microbiome initiation, development, progression disease. Intestinal microbes their fermentation products have an important impact host metabolism, immune system, nutrient digestion absorption, barrier integrity protection against pathogens. This review summarizes current evidence changes microbial populations both types mellitus. Attention focused abundance specific bacterial groups at taxonomic levels humans, shift also assessed relation geographic location, age, antidiabetic drug. causal relationship between bacteria still unclear, future studies applying new methodological approaches broader range microorganisms inhabiting digestive tract are urgently needed. would not only provide better understanding disease, but use beneficial species probiotics for treatment diabetes.

Abstract Background Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) encompasses a range of histological findings from the generally benign simple steatosis to steatohepatitis (MASH) which can progress fibrosis and cirrhosis. Several factors, including microbiome, may contribute progression. Results Here, we demonstrate links between presence abundance specific bacteria in adipose tissues, inflammatory genes, immune cell responses, severity. Overall, MASLD patients, observed generalized obesity-induced translocation gut hepatic tissues. We identified microbial patterns unique more severely diseased Specifically, Enterococcus , Granulicatella Morganellaceae is positively correlated with counts gene expression levels, both genera are significantly enriched MASH patients. Brevibacterium tissues patients fibrosis. Conclusion Together, these results provide further insight into factors that be driving

Abstract The widespread application of high-throughput Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies has made microbiome research an emerging field in public health and biomedical sciences. However, there are still many challenges that need to be addressed this field. Pipelines available generate data across cohorts diverse, sources variation recorded evaluated during profiling have not been standardized. Moreover, meticulous quality control the processing, from collection computational quantification is challenging, especially large population studies. Innovative approaches required handle samples minimize potential bias introduced by logistic hurdles biobanking.
