Sexually propagated scleractinian corals are in high demand for coral reef restoration. However, threatened reef-building corals, many of the molecular mechanisms related to their reproduction remain largely unknown, which forms a major bottleneck large-scale cultivation sexually reproducing corals. In this study, we analyzed proteomic signatures red eggs and spermatozoa from ecologically significant Galaxea fascicularis, using data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry (DIA-MS) method. A total 7741 7279 proteins mature were identified, respectively. Among these proteins, 596 spermatozoa-specific 1056 egg-specific. Additionally, 4413 differentially abundant (DAPs) among 3121 up-regulated 1292 spermatozoa. Furthermore, anenrichment analyses showed that DAPs identified mainly involved progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation pathway lectin pathway; detected insulin secretion metabolic pathways generation energy. This result will contribute discovery intrinsic regulation gamete fertilization. at least 57 associated with including fluorescent protein (RFP), vitellogenin (VG), egg (EP), testis-specific serine/threonine-protein kinase family (TSSKs), EF-hand Ca2+-binding (EFHC1 EFHC2). Particularly, third yolk EUPHY was reported first time G. fascicularis. conclusion, study unveiled groundbreaking insights into sexual reproduction, paving way more effective conservation sustainable development ecosystems

The construction of marine ecological security barriers (MESBs) is fundamental for the sustainable development environment and economy, an important component strategy land-sea integration. It difficult to build effective MESB simply by relying on power government; therefore, this respect, it urgent encourage multiple participating subjects work together. This study takes Bohai Sea as research object, uses evolutionary game theory construct a model decision-making behavior among enterprises, local governments, public in process Sea, so explore strategic stability equilibrium point through analysis interests three decision makers, lay foundation promoting process. results are follows: (1) Local government regulation key promote transformation from policy documents goal practice; moreover, directly influences whether main sources land-based pollution, i.e., will abandon traditional approach production actively MESB. (2) supervision reporting can be used synergistic, auxiliary means. Thanks government’s publicity education, develop social awareness security, which turn ensure better governments and, thus, active participation enterprises Sea. (3) Participation costs, benefits, corporate image, fines, other factors considered choice with different having marginal effects at stages. Finally, proposes measures further clarify roles functions stakeholders balance subjects, provide implementation path realization “Ocean Power”.

Coral reef ecosystems worldwide are facing significant damage due to climate change and human disturbances. Consequently, restoration actions have been implemented repair degraded areas. However, many efforts hindered by severe environmental conditions, which can hamper success create challenges in developing cost‐effective coral methods. To address this, we conducted a study test low‐cost tool known as “framed modules” (FRMs), specifically aiming mitigate the impacts of typhoons. We measured growth rates (after 300 days) survivorship 400 Acropora hyacinthus A. microphthalma fragments located at different distances from substrates (H0, H10, H30, H45). The FRMs were exposed multiple typhoons, despite harsh they remained undamaged. For comparison, also examined basalt grid plates buried gravel. After days, H45 showed highest survival ( 86% 90%) compared H30 80% 84%), H10 4% 24%), H0 3% 22%). It was found that transplanted corals with height least 30 cm substrate demonstrated resilience against caused macroalgae, turf algae, sedimentation rates. This effectiveness an ecological engineering approach using enhance three‐dimensional complexity restored reefs rehabilitate damaged Furthermore, this method offered reduced costs improved resilience.

In the coal base of Ningdong, there are many ecological problems associated with existing local technologies, such as imperfect technical system, a poor engineering effect, limited generalization value, and lack monitoring evaluation. Based on screening integration technologies in we have designed constructed 14 restoration plots this study. The were composed two replicates for each six modes CK treatment (nothing treatment). These include bag, rod, wire gabion, gravel sand barrier, living barrier wheat straw modes. all slope Yangchangwan waste dump Ningdong. Several indicators selected vegetation growth observation data collection, including erosion amount, runoff depth, richness, coverage, herbal biomass, bush biomass total biomass. Furthermore, TOPSIS (Technique Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method was utilized evaluate effects results showed that mode area had best coverage 45%, richness 1.23 an aboveground 0.60 kg m–2. Its 45.16%, 43.02%, 71.43% higher than CK, respectively. model presented least yield, its 133.46 g m–2 which only 26.80% CK. amount 863.32 cm3 m–2, even 50.00% less show gabion three overall.
