In order to reach climate protection goals at national or international levels, new forms of combined heating and cooling networks with ultra-low network temperatures (5GDHC) are viable alternatives conventional networks. This paper presents a simulation library for 5GDHC as sustainable shared energy systems, developed in the object-oriented framework OpenModelica. It comprises sub-models residential buildings acting prosumers network, additional roof-mounted thermal dynamic thermo-hydraulic representations distribution pipes storage, time-series-based sources cooling, weather conditions adjustable user-specified locations. A detailed insight into an in-house development sub-model horizontal ground heat collectors is given. directly coupled simulations. The results balances energetic efficiencies example district described. Findings from this study show that decentralised solar systems can contribute 21% total source provided while annual gains add up more than 18% within described settings. presented support conceptual advanced planning phases renewable supply structures based on environmental sources.

Background and objective The growing availability of patient data from several clinical settings, fueled by advanced analysis systems new diagnostics, presents a unique opportunity. These can be used to understand disease progression predict future outcomes. However, analysing this vast amount requires collaboration between physicians experts diverse fields like mathematics engineering. Methods Mathematical models play crucial role in interpreting enable in-silico simulations for diagnosis treatment. To facilitate the creation sharing such models, CNR-IASI BioMatLab group developed “Gemini” (MoSpec/Autocoder) system, framework allowing researchers with basic mathematical knowledge quickly correctly translate biological problems into Ordinary Differential Equations models. system facilitates development computation interpretation medical phenomena, also using setting or laboratory experiments parameter estimation. Results Gemini automatically generates code multiple languages (C++, Matlab, R, Julia) creates documentation, including code, figures, visualizations. Conclusions This user-friendly approach promotes model among researchers, besides vastly increasing productivity.

Abstract One key concept of Industry 4.0 is the industrial digital twin (DT)—a virtual replica physical assets, processes, and systems. DTs optimise operations, enhance productivity, facilitate innovation across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, healthcare, transportation. This paper presents a multi‐domain multi‐time scale modelling simulation platform, featuring built‐in model libraries that represent diverse physical, chemical, behavioural properties. A comprehensive system approach closed‐loop control based on are developed, showcasing advanced control, optimisation, security research capabilities. The architecture advantages novel generation platform detailed, with specific applications highlighted, underscoring its contributions to process industry.

The building industry is one of the key industries for implementing energy conservation and carbon reduction in China. Building roof plays a pivotal role among components due to most peak heat gain large area. Ventilated commonly useful energy-saving solution buildings. optimal layout design parameters ventilated critical roofs. To find roof, influences air vents, inlet outlet size, velocity cavity, solar panel, deflector on thermal performance roofs has been numerically investigated this paper by using new thermal-flow-solar radiation coupling simulation approach. research results show that structure with vents better than without vents. As size increases, first increases then reduces. range between 1 m/s 1.5 saving effect other velocities inlet. bigger percentage panel area area, more savings roof. an deflector. findings can provide beneficial suggestions optimizing assessing
