Approaches to retain or improve wave-transparent composite properties received ongoing attention. Silica glass fiber composites are being utilized in wave transparency applications owing their excellent dielectric properties. During operational service life, they exposed ambient and harsh environments, which degrade performance The objective is evaluate the progressive degradation of silica material’s overall performance. fiber/epoxy (SFWCs) were fabricated by stacking high-silica cloth (HSG) plies via multi-layer compression curing at 150 °C (14 hrs) investigated upon one-year real-time weathering 20-year accelerated aging (Hallberg peck model). morphology one-year-aged SFWC was found be better than that 20-year-aged SFWC, where relatively weakened interfacial bonding structure observed. One year constant (εr) increased 4.34%, loss (δ) 5.6%, whereas conditions (equivalent 20 yrs conditions), εr significantly raised 30.63% from its original value (3.2), δ 22.8% (0.035). In aged composite, maximum absorbed moisture 3.1%. Tensile strength dropped 147.8 MPa 136.48 MPa, compressive 388.54 374.41 MPa. Upon (from 1 years aging), functional lowered but remained reasonable. properties, as revealed microscale characterization, can contribute determination impact deterioration useful life respective microelectronics applications.
