Nanostructured CeO2 was fabricated through a facile sonochemical route utilizing cerium (III) nitrate hexahydrate as metal source and mentha extract novel capping agent. To our knowledge, this experimental work is the first successful endeavor for fabricating nanostructured employing by an easy eco-friendly route. The microstructure various characteristics of oxide nanostructure prepared were investigated using methods. This research examined anticancer effects green synthesized nanoparticles (CeO2-NPs) on cancer cell lines (T98 SHSY5Y) at several concentrations 0.0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 mg/ml NPs exposure time 24/48 h. obtained results presented cytotoxicity against cancerous lines. Background Emergency thoracotomy (ET) is a critical intervention for traumatic thoracic injuries, often required in patients with penetrating trauma. The survival outcomes and the factors that influence these remain an area of interest trauma care providers. Objective objective study to assess rate influencing undergoing emergency due Methods This retrospective cross-sectional was conducted surgery, accident, department Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, Pakistan. A total 85 who underwent following between July 2019 June 2024 were included. Data extracted from health information management system (HIMS) analyzed using SPSS. reviewed demographic details, severity injury, operative postoperative outcomes. Statistical analyses included univariate analysis chi-square Fisher's exact tests categorical data independent t-tests continuous variables. Results mean age 25.72±7.84 years. majority male (81/85, 95.29%), while females accounted smaller proportion (4/85, 4.71%), gunshot most frequent cause injury (50/85, 58.8%). time within 60 minutes admission, 48±16.5 minutes. 61/85 (71.5%) had isolated 24/85 (28.2%) associated requiring concomitant laparotomy. overall mortality 9/85 (10.5%), 7/9 (77.7%) deaths occurring intraoperatively. Mortality significantly higher combined laparotomy procedures. Prolonged hospital stays transfusion requirements observed wound victims Conclusions has significant abdominal injuries.
