Currently,
the
monitoring
of
rocky
desertification(RD)
is
concentrated
in
karst
area,
whereas
study
red-bed
areas
rare.
In
this
paper,
we
present
a
multi-scale
classification
framework
for
RD
based
on
spectral-spatial
features.
At
pixel
scale,
explored
several
spectral
indices
statistics
and
separability
analysis
land
cover
samples.

homogeneous

classified
by

rules
from
selected

as

Abstract
Groundwater
is
one
of
the
fundamental
sources
fresh
water.
Currently,
unequal
distribution
groundwater
poses
a
significant
environmental
crisis,
leading
to
scarcity
in
certain
regions
and
affecting
livelihood
living
organisms
worldwide.
The
present
study
introduces
Sub-Himalayan
foothills
Dooars,
highly
populated
agriculturally
based
area.
To
delineate
potentiality
eight
different
effective
parameters
have
been
employed
such
as
slope,
geomorphology,
soil,
LULC,
lineament,
rainfall,
hydrogeology,
drainage
density.
For

development
these
thematic
layers,
geographic
information
systems
satellite
images
(Landsat
8)
used

normalized
weight
rank

each
layer

sub-criteria.

(GWPZs)
