Spent coffee grounds (SCGs) have great potential as a useful, value-added biological material. In this context, activated carbon (AC) was prepared from SCGs by an activation process using H3PO4 at 600 °C in the air and used adsorbent for azo dye AO7, model molecule colorants found textile industry effluents. X-ray diffraction, SEM BET revealed that AC predominantly amorphous, consisting of powder 20–100 µm particles with mesopores averaging 5.5 nm pore size. Adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second-order law, while Langmuir best fitted experimental isotherm data (maximum capacity 119.5 mg AO7 per g). The thermodynamic parameters adsorption endothermic spontaneous. Abstract Objectives To evaluate the in vitro and vivo antimicrobial activity of pleuromutilin derivatives modified with C14 side-chain against Streptococcus suis. The use of natural materials as adsorbents and the environmentally friendly removal pollutants azo dyes from water are important topics today. goal this research work was to assess utility Luffa cylindrica (L. cylindrica) a non-conventional adsorbent for in on large scale (2 L).
