Abstract Saline acid sulphate soils are commonly ameliorated using traditional amendments like lime and cow manure. Biochar, derived from crop residues, is another potential remedy for this type of soil. Their combined use may create synergistic effects, necessitating further investigation. This study aims to assess the impacts biochar with on soil quality, properties rice yield. A field experiment was established six treatments: no‐amendment (control), lime, manure, biochar, manure ( Oryza sativa ) planted in four replicates. The revealed that effects these were driven by their inherent characteristics secondary processes, such as neutralization. Combining significantly increased pH (6.2), exchangeable calcium (648.6 cmol(+) kg −1 ), while reducing aluminium (11.83 iron (37.5 compared control. Abstract One of the important cereal crops in world is sorghum. It produces seeds for food and stems that can be squeezed to produce sap bioethanol, rest stem pulp used animal feed. This study aims evaluate growth response brix content sorghum after applying biochar combined with cattle manure. The field trial was conducted during dry season commencing from April July 2024 at station land North Lombok Regency, especially Akar-Akar Village, Bayan District. experiment set up using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) six treatments tested: without (P0); Biochar 20 tons ha-1 (P1); Cattle manure (P2); NPK 200 kg (P3); + (P4); (P5). These were repeated three times. showed biochar-based organic fertilizer improved performance compared control. highest total top weight per plant (129,01) obtained treatment P5. application improves content. Abstract In recent years biochar (BC) has gained importance for its huge carbon (C) sequestration potential and positive effects on various soil functions. Biochar is a widely recognized soil amendment used to improve physicochemical properties and crop productivity. However, its compositive effects on water, fertilizer, carbon in cropping systems are not extensively understood. A two-year field study was conducted investigate the influence of integrating maize-residue-derived biochar evapotranspiration, water fertilizer utilization efficiency, organic (SOC) content, emissions maize farming, employing drip irrigation conjunction with film mulching. The treatments included following three amendments: 15 (B15); 30 (B30); 45 (B45) t ha−1. exclusively incorporated prior sowing during initial year experiment, no as control (CK). After two years, amendments, especially B30, improved productivity partial factor productivities nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium fertilizer. The conversion of levulinic acid (LA) into alkyl levulinates is highly significant due to the wide range applications for these products, including their use as fuel additives, solvents, and fragrances. In order meet growing need environmentally friendly chemical production, this study takes a circular economy approach by upcycling common urban waste, i.e., pine needles, synthesize robust heterogeneous catalyst, subsequently used efficiently upgrade LA levulinates. By utilizing single-step procedure under mild operating conditions, resulting PiNe–SO3H catalyst demonstrated good performances flexibility in synthesizing diverse bio-derived fact, showed an exceptionally broad applicability, isolated yields ranging from ̴ 46% 93%, which unprecedented achievement. catalyst's ability be reused was tested, revealing remarkable performance up 10 consecutive cycles with negligible loss efficiency. Additionally, focus directed towards developing method that minimizes waste during isolation process.
