Abundant information exists on fluoride intake and excretion in populations exposed to fluoridated water, but not salt, where is eaten through a combination of foods beverages. This study assessed associations between dietary patterns, Mexican women salt. We estimated (mg/day) from 31 using 24-h recalls (ASA24) urine collections (HDMS diffusion method) agreement among both estimates exposure with Bland-Altman plot. Dietary patterns the sample were explored by Principal Component Analysis these estimated. Quantile Regressions. Median 0.95 0.90 mg/day, respectively, better at values below 1.5 mg/day. identified three patterns: "Urban Convenience", "Plant-based" "Egg-based". The Convenience" pattern, characterized dairy convenience was associated an increase 0.25 mg 0.34 F 25th 50th percentiles (p < 0.01), marginal 0.22 decrease urinary = 0.06). In conclusion, this women, pattern rich foods, excretion.

This study investigated possible associations between dietary patterns and blood heavy metal levels in Korean adults, using data from the Korea National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (2012–2016). To explore these associations, demographic, physical activity, anthropometric, biochemical, data, including a food frequency questionnaire, were analyzed. Foods categorized into 19 groups, principal component factor analysis identified three patterns: Meat processed food-enriched diet (MPD), vegetables milk-enriched (VMD), fermented fish-enriched (FFD). Multivariate logistic regression was used to evaluate association high of metals blood. The results showed that MPD score had positive with Pb (OR = 1.470, 95% CI 1.173–1.842) Hg 1.559, 1.259–1.932); FFD also 1.492, 1.227–1.814) Cd 1.276, 1.045–1.559). In contrast, VMD negatively associated 0.760, 0.628–0.920) 0.948, 0.781–1.151). Moreover, effect each pattern on differences by sex. Some patterns, such as intake meat, foods, fish, can increase levels, whereas other milk, have protective against concentrations.

Abstract Epidemiological studies focusing on metal(oid) exposure and excess body weight among children show inconsistent results the influence of metal(loid) mixtures has been little studied. We aimed to explore effect 10 metal(loid)s, individually in combinations, overweight obesity aged 6–12. Urinary levels these metal(oid)s from 92 controls 51 cases with were analyzed. Metal(loid) log-transformed categorized into tertiles according control group cutoff points. Two logistic regression models weighted quantile sum regressions (WQS) run: model 1 adjusting for age, sex, creatinine, energy intake physical activity 2 additionally maternal education, rice fish consumption. In single model, there was a trend significant negative association urinary cobalt (Co), where third tertile had lower odds present than those first (Odds Ratio, OR = 0.43; 95% Confidence Interval, CI 0.20–0.93). chromium (Cr) borderline-significant negatively associated (ORa 1.70; 0.97–2.98). Molybdemun, Cr Co major contribution inverse between mixture as well lead, cadmium total arsenic positive relationship. Our findings this explorative study suggested an high obesity. Moreover, may have important potential effect.

Dietary patterns provide a comprehensive assessment of food consumption, including essential nutrients and potential exposure to environmental contaminants. While pro-vegetarian (PVG) dietary have shown health benefits in adults, their effects on children are less well studied. This study aims explore the association between children's adherence most common PVG metals, assessed through urine concentration. In our study, we included population 723 aged 4-5-years from INfancia y Medio Ambiente (INMA) cohort Spain. We calculated three predefined patterns, namely general (gPVG), healthful (hPVG), unhealthful (uPVG), using information collected validated Food Frequency Questionnaire. Urinary concentrations various heavy metals (Co, Cu, Zn, Se, Mo, Pb, Cd) were measured mass spectrometry. Additionally, urinary arsenic speciation, arsenobetaine (AsB), dimethylarsinic acid (DMA), monomethylarsonic (MMA), inorganic (iAs), was measured. The sum MMA iAs used assess exposure. estimated primary (PMI) secondary methylation (SMI) indices. To quintiles metal exposure, utilized multiple-adjusted linear regression models quantile g-computation approach. Compared with lowest quintile, participants highest quintile gPVG showed 22.7% lower Co (95% confidence interval (CI): -38.7; -1.98) 12.6% Se (95%CI: -22.9; -1.00) concentrations. Second hPVG associated 51.7% + -74.3; -8.61). an uPVG 13.6% levels -2.95) while third this pattern 17.5% Mo -29.5; -2.95). fourth 68.5% higher PMI 53.7% SMI. Our that childhood may modestly reduce intakes some such as Se. Further investigations warranted any implications.

Abstract Tungsten oxide‐iodide/poly‐2‐aminobenzenethiol nanocomposite (WO 2 I /P2ABT) is created through the introduction of iodine into polymer chains, where serves as an oxidizing agent during synthesis process. With a highly porous structure, sensing capabilities WO /P2ABT for detecting Pb 2+ ions are successfully demonstrated, revealing Nernstian slope 26.2 mV/decade. This detection accomplished simple potentiometric technique, employing two‐electrode cell setup. To further validate its performance, cyclic voltammetry conducted using three‐electrode system, remarkable sensitivity 7.2 × 10 −5 A M −1 ions. The sensor's selectivity rigorously examined by subjecting it to testing in presence 0.01 interfering results unequivocally demonstrate that sensor remains unresponsive these ions, underscoring Moreover, behavior evaluated under real‐world conditions natural samples, where, no indications interference from other observed. estimated absence peaks voltammogram, indicating unique ability selectively detect without being perturbed may be naturally occurring samples. These findings emphasize potential wide array applications environmental monitoring and analytical chemistry. Its extraordinary combination high sensitivity, impeccable selectivity, robust performance practical scenarios establishes invaluable tool across various contexts.
