This study aimed to investigate the effect of aminating waste newsprint paper with different agents (ammonia/ammonia water, ethylenediamine, and diethylenetriamine) for sorption efficiency Reactive Black 5 (RB5) Yellow 84 (RY84) dyes. To increase amination efficiency, material was pre-activated epichlorohydrin. The scope this included characterization sorbents tested (FTIR, elemental analysis, BET surface area, porosity, pHPZC), determination influence pH on dye kinetics, maximum capacity results showed that ethylenediamine diethylenetriamine introduced 87% 194% more amine groups into sorbent’s structure compared treatment ammonia. RB5 RY84 highest in range 2–3. equilibrium time ranged from 90 150 min longer case unmodified sorbents. experimental data were best described by pseudo-second-order model Langmuir 1 2 models. Amination had a very strong newsprint. For example, towards (Qmax = 7.12 mg/g) increased after ammonia, value Qmax 182.78 mg/g, 202.7 231.5 respectively.

A new green hydrogel consisting of cherry stone (CS) powder and sodium alginate (SA) was synthesized through physical crosslinking. The product had a mean diameter 3.95 mm, moisture content 92.28%, bulk density 0.58 g/cm3, swelling ratio 45.10%. analyses its morphological structure functional groups by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) showed the successful entrapping CS in SA polymeric matrix. viability prepared as adsorbent tested towards Orange II (OII) anionic dye. influence pH, amount, contact time, initial dye concentration evaluated. Then, impact three accelerating factors (stirring speed, ultrasound exposure duration, temperature) on OII retention investigated. highest recorded removal efficiency adsorption capacity were 82.20% 6.84 mg/g, respectively. followed Elovich pseudo-second-order kinetics, adequately described Freundlich Khan isotherms, can be defined spontaneous, endothermic, random. experiments confirmed that obtained used acceptably for at least two consecutive cycles, sustaining effectiveness water decontamination.
