Introduction
Cities
globally,

Tokyo,
face
challenges
in
managing
small
urban
green
spaces
due
to
limited
land,
aging
infrastructure,

rising
maintenance
costs.

explores
effective
community
engagement
strategies
for
park
revitalization
as
cities
focus
on
improving
existing
rather
than
expanding
them.
Methods

investigates
Toshima
Ward,
using
a
case
approach
involving
three
parks.
Data
were
collected
through
interviews
with
seven
management
stakeholders
survey
of
176
residents.
The

factors

participation,

perceptions

Abstract
Nature-based
solutions
(NbS)
have
been
put
forward
as
an
approach
to
meet
many
of
the
challenges
facing
cities
globally,
such
increased
temperatures,
flooding
and
loss
biodiversity.
Co-creation
is
a
central
part
NbS
approach,
with
use
urban
living
laboratories
(ULLs)
mechanism
for
supporting
co-creation
processes.
In
this
perspective
essay,
we
will
reflect
on
potential
knowledge
within
ULL
context,
based
experiences
from
EU
H2020-funded
projects
REGREEN
CONEXUS.
Furthermore,

how
ULLs
contribute
