Ghana Tamale's current waste management system is overwhelmed by the growing crisis, necessitating exploration of Waste-to-Energy technologies as an innovative solution. This study explores challenges and opportunities for integrating (WtE) into existing system. Qualitative research identified policy hurdles, financial constraints, social concerns, institutional weaknesses key barriers. Conversely, stakeholder collaboration, public education, capacity building emerged some success fac-tors. A proposed implementation plan emphasizes feasibility studies, engagement, pub-lic-private partnerships (PPPs), technology selection based on composition. Addition-ally, a novel framework WtE integration within broader Integrated Solid Waste Manage-ment (ISWM) presented. incorporates sorting, recycling, alternatives, responsible residuals. Validation stakeholders con-firmed framework's potential to improve in Tamale. By overcoming implementing framework, Tamale can achieve environ-mental sustainability, energy generation, progress towards UN SDGs 7, 11, 12. re-search offers valuable insights policymakers paves way cleaner more sus-tainable future Tamale, potentially serving model other developing cities.

Background: Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) supply chains are experiencing various challenges due to the interactions between consumers and decision-makers during physical distribution, manufacturing, wholesale retail. One possible strategy address these for smoothing chain (SC) logistics operations is adopt Industry 4.0 (I4.0) based technologies in FMCG business processes. In this regard, digitalization automation of can be strengthened by alluring properties I4.0 technologies. Methods: This study identified nine significant through a literature review expert validation. Later, were evaluated using novel multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) framework, Bayesian best worst method (BWM). Results: The findings indicated that “requirement substantial investment resources”, “incompatible technological infrastructure” “poorly structured value chain” most implementing industry. Conclusions: expected significantly contribute improving chain’s resilience, sustainability, visibility, traceability responsiveness. Additionally, research provide industrial practitioners valuable insights into similar sectors thus promote SC sustainability resilience those industries.
