Carbon materials play a fundamental role in electrochemical energy storage due to their appealing properties, including low cost, high availability, environmental impact, surface functional groups, electrical conductivity, alongside thermal, mechanical, and chemical stability, among other factors. Activated carbon, known for its simple preparation, cost-effectiveness, physicochemical stability, and wide applicability, has garnered significant attention. As a primary application, supercapacitors focus on developing porous activated carbon materials with high surface area, porosity, low cost. Herein, straightforward efficient two-step process of high-temperature carbonization activation was introduced to successfully synthesize Rosa roxburghii Tratt fruit waste-derived (RFAC) in situ N O self-doping. The optimized RFAC-6 possesses an exceptional specific area (3952.9 m2 g–1), micropores constituting up 99% rich presence heteroatom functional groups. electrode demonstrates remarkable capacitance (370 F g–1 at 0.5 A excellent rate capability (69% 20 outstanding cyclic stability (95% capacity retention after 5000 cycles). To assess the practicality RFAC-6, symmetric (SSCs) were assembled by using aqueous KOH, ionic liquid ([BMIM]BF4), solid-state PVA/KOH electrolytes, all exhibiting superior electrochemical performance. Notably, KOH SSC achieves 91 0.25 g–1, [BMIM]BF4 reaches ultrahigh energy density 56.6 W h kg–1 power 375 kg–1, maintained 92% initial even 10,000 charge–discharge cycles. material prepared from R. waste exhibits performance various demonstrating potential storage field.
