The primary purpose of this article is to measure the relative efficiency and productivity change over time in rural healthcare systems presence fuzzy data. First, a novel ranking function based on lower upper bounds alpha-cut trapezoidal numbers (TrFNs) proposed compare TrFNs. suggested technique used construct data envelopment analysis (FDEA), Malmquist DEA (Mal-FDEA), undesirable (UN-Mal-FDEA ) models. models evaluate decision-making units (DMUs) when input output are given form In addition, case study system developing country has been considered demonstrate applicability developed work considers number sub-centers (SCs), health centers (PHCs), community (CHCs), nursing Staff at PHCs, an auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM) SCs, doctors pharmacists laboratory technicians radiographers CHCs, specialists CHCs as parameters average population covered by village patients, infant mortality rates analyze performance systems. We show UN-Mal-FDEA model higher production value than Mal-FDEA model. results our enable us recognize inefficiencies that states may rectify without compromising quality.

Abstract Health system performance assessment (HSPA) is essential for health planning and to improve population health. One of the HSPA domains related effectiveness, which can be represented considering different dimensions. Composite indicators used summarize complex constructs involving several indicators. example such efforts Healthcare Access Quality Index from Global Burden Diseases Study, in causes mortality amenable care are summarized this index through principal component analysis exploratory factor analysis. While these approaches use variance indicators, marginal improvement not considered, that is, distance best practice frontier. In study we propose an innovative benefit‐of‐the‐doubt approach combine frontier composite using estimates 188 countries. particular, include flexible aggregating weighting schemes a robust conditional approach. The dual formulation gives information on peers potential rate reduction targets background conditions. absolute terms, Andorra high‐income countries most effective regarding healthcare access quality, while sub‐Saharan African South Asian least effective. North Middle Eastern benefit when epidemiological patterns, geographical proximity, country development status considered.

Photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems are highly subject to weather and site conditions, thus, the construction of PV plant projects must consider these uncertainties. This study analyzes monthly electricity 249 utility-scale plants in Japan evaluate their efficiency. Applying generic data envelopment analysis, benchmark values were identified for from plants. Furthermore, we implemented a Monte Carlo experiment impact variability solar irradiance temperature on For our considered three inputs—solar irradiance, temperature, installed capacity—and as output. The results showed that inter-regional gap efficiency score between west north regions is 0.03, this can be covered by 0.1 increase DC/AC ratio. Additionally, conditions affect both production possibility frontier, turn causing decision-making unit vary. Increasing capacity operating them more efficiently essential expanding use renewable energy resources.

Abstract Background Policymakers, who are constantly discussing growing health expenditures, should know whether the system is efficient. We can provide them with such information through international efficiency evaluations. The main objectives of this study are: (a) to evaluate systems in 28 developed countries by multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and data envelopment (DEA) (b) identify reasonable benchmark for Czech Republic, which we collect on relative importance inputs outputs. Methods used MCDA DEA countries. models included four (health expenditure as a share GDP, number physicians, nurses, hospital beds) three outputs (life expectancy at birth, healthy life expectancy, infant mortality rate). sample covers 27 OECD Russia, also database. To determine input output weights, questionnaire sent policy experts Republic. Results obtained subjective from experts. evaluated using two models. According models, Turkey, Poland, Israel were found have efficient systems. Republic ranked 16th, 19th, 15th, 17th. Republic’s Israel, Estonia, Luxembourg, Italy, UK, Spain, Slovenia, Canada. model constant returns scale identified technically systems: Canada, Sweden. was be one worst-performing variable 15 that results quite robust. With exceptions, Spearman rank correlations between each pair statistically significant 0.05 level. Conclusions During formulation, investigated pitfalls measurement care several practical solutions. consider DEA, above all, exploratory methods, not methods providing definitive answers.

With the benefits of reduced travel time and alleviated traffic congestion, tunnel construction significantly enhances urban mobility. Meanwhile, accidents result in many casualties property losses. To minimize associated with while keeping its benefits, it is important to enhance effectiveness efficiency training programs for workers. However, there a lack evaluation systems specifically designed workers, along limited research on this group. This paper targets personnel from China Railway 14th Bureau Group Company, aiming evaluate program Three popular approaches are proposed outcomes, including WeChat push safety knowledge (WP), emergency drill (ED), unitive lecture (UL). Additionally, concept study conducted examine performance eighteen schemes that vary at different levels intensity by using VR (virtual reality), an electroencephalogram (EEG) system, data enveloping analysis (DEA). The results show ED most effective method, enabling industry professionals respond effectively unsafe situations equipping them critical skills through comprehensive training. has great potential workers via provision simulated experiences their preparedness.

The Entscheidungsnavi is an open-source decision support system based on multi-attribute utility theory, that offers various methods for dealing with uncertainties. To model decisions uncertainties, decision-makers can use two categories: Forecast and Parameter Uncertainties. Uncertainty modeled (combined) influence factors using discrete, user-defined probability distributions or predefined ‘worst-median-best’ distributions. allows imprecision utilities, objective weights, analyze these the several tools, like a robustness check, (Monte Carlo) simulations sensitivity analysis. weight analysis provides insights into effects of different combinations. Indicator impacts, tornado diagrams, risk profiles visualize impact uncertainties in under risk. Risk also enable check stochastic simulation dominance. This article presents complete range hypothetical case study.
