In the past decades, considerable attention has been directed toward anaerobic digestion (AD), which is an effective biological process for converting diverse organic wastes into biogas, volatile fatty acids (VFAs), biohydrogen, etc. The microbial bioprocessing takes part during AD of substantial significance, and one crucial approaches deep adequate understanding manipulating it different products microbiology. Due to highly complexity microbiome, critically important study involved microorganisms in AD. recent years, addition traditional methods, novel molecular techniques meta-omics have developed provide accurate details about communities Better microbiomes could guide us identifying controlling various factors both improving diverting metabolic pathway production selective bio-products. Bioplastics are gaining more attention over synthetic plastics owing to their non-hazardous properties. Earlier studies had reported the biodegradation and solubility properties of yam starch-based bioplastic; however, its mechanical with reinforcement were not studied. The present work focuses on development (Dioscorea) bioplastic film glycerol as a plasticizer. Different concentrations bentonite (0.5, 1, 1.5 %w/w) was reinforced biofilms prepared by solvent casting method. developed films systematically characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), contact angle, tensile testing, soil water degradation, vapor transmission rate (WVTR), swelling, solubility, chemical testing. SEM micrographs show particles homogeneously distributed in starch matrix. hydrophilicity increased addition bentonite. FTIR spectra revealed that strengthened O–H bond Si–O–Si bond, which improved strength. It observed 1.5% concentration exhibited maximum degradation lowest molecule absorption. This is due intercalated silicate layer films. Also, impermeable salt acidic medium but remained ineffective basic medium. study has effectively property, making it potential replace plastic food packaging applications.

Nowadays, the valorization of organic wastes using various carbon-capturing technologies is a prime research area. The anaerobic digestion (AD) technology gaining much consideration in this regard that simultaneously deals with waste and bioenergy production sustainably. Biochar, well-recognized carbonaceous pyrogenic material possessing broad range inherent physical chemical properties, has diverse applications fields agriculture, health-care, sensing, catalysis, carbon capture, environment energy. nano-biochar-amended approach intensively been explored for past few years.
