Background This study aims to empirically test a comprehensive interrelationship between green supply chain management (GSCM), technology innovation (GTI), waste (WM), big data analytics capability powered by artificial intelligence (BDAC-AI), and their collective impact on sustainable performance (SP) in organizational contexts. Methods was conducted Pakistan’s food processing sector. The respondents included 495 managers working the industry. A structural equation modelling (SEM) approach is used examine direct indirect relationships variables. originality of this lies integration acceptance model (TAM) dynamic theory (DCT) understand practices context provided model. Results highlights that GSCM, GTI, WM, BDAC-AI have positive, strong, impacts SP. Furthermore, GTI WM only partially mediate link GSCM SP, whereas two moderate link. In addition, had moderating effect relationship has managerial implications, including strategies involve use theoretical frameworks for technological capabilities support initiatives. However, it worth noting findings provide practical contingency businesses interested implementing studies effectively, improving technologies, strengthening capabilities. Conclusions extends literature establishing operationalizing adds value first integrates TAM DCT explain operations organizations. existing SC. It offers through which can be operationalized FS sector.

Cheese whey (CW), by-product of cheese production, has potential as a valuable resource due to its nutritional composition. Although options for CW degradation have been explored, biological treatment with black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) not reported. This study evaluated the growth and composition BSFL in four experimental diets under different conditions. Results show that use allows larval development weight gain, also, conversion into biomass was up 0.215. Diets ED3 (fresh CW, 38 °C) ED4 room temperature) allowed higher accumulation (final 0.285 g); highest fat (12 % than control) observed (up 45.57 %), which had less protein. Moreover, amounts saturated fatty acids are generated. highlights importance an appropriate pretreatment designed specific waste control desired by-products.

One industry that has benefitted largely from the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in its processes is recycling, providing significant advancements waste management towards sustainability environmental conservation. This chapter highlights application AI ML various streams (plastic, electronic food, paper, textile, metal etc. wastage). These systems use AI-powered image recognition sorting to better separate materials, helping increasing efficiency chemical recycling technologies; meanwhile algorithms enable cleaner for handling chemicals material recovery. Increased precision removal valuable components via automated disassembly predictive analytics. Using helped increase operational efficiency, resources recovery but also shown clear contributions environment overall ensure sustainable future ahead.

Contemporary human-made activities are responsible for the emission of more than 30 billion tons carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, into atmosphere. The current study's primary purpose is to examine key elements that contribute elevated levels release CO2 environment in Pakistan. research used Pakistan's annual data spanning from 1970 2020, along with STIRPAT (Stochastic Impact by Regression on Population, Affluence, and Technology) model. relationship between atmosphere other chosen factors examined using ARDL (Auto Regressive Distributive Lag) model ECM (Error Correction Model). These models help establish credibility acquired findings. paired Granger causality analysis revealed presence unidirectional bidirectional cause-and-effect relationships named variable parameters activity under investigation. Pakistan must prioritize tackling fundamental challenges afflicting its farming industry, particularly those pertaining efficiency livestock crop production. novelty this study comes investigation interaction hitherto undiscovered macro-level properties findings may assist policymakers formulating an environmental agricultural strategy aimed at promoting use sophisticated low-carbon technology.

Clear differences exist between the Global South and North with respect to economic development. The majority of small medium-sized insect production farms are located in Africa, Asia, Latin America, which face challenges food organic waste management general. These regions have a long history use, as well environmental advantages, making insects general - black soldier fly particular promising option for sustainable management. This study aimed identify current state (Hermetia illucens L.) South. results survey Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats Analysis presented; responses were obtained from 33 100 producers contacted: 14 4 15 Asia. Their indicate that although great potential can help meet many Sustainable development goals thanks their ecosystem services they provide is one main reasons engage production, significant sustainability farming, including lack an adequate regulatory framework, unstable supply raw materials, market instability, technology operational scaling. collaboration among all stakeholders crucial overcoming these challenges.

Dhapa, the landfill situated in Kolkata, is a very active site for municipal dumping. A humongous amount of solid waste added this dump daily and nearby farmlands produce significant yield local population. The current study seeks to examine environmental associated with leachate migration due open dumping unsorted India. Also, second goal assess risk public health consumption agricultural products possibly contaminated heavy metals through soil groundwater. seasonal groundwater sample, samples grown near were collected around periphery Dhapa. presence was determined using classical methods specialized laboratory. results compared FAO/WHO, BIS/WHO found that toxic metal Cd, Cr, Zn, Pb & Hg present high concentrations. For vegetables at fields, multiple as different are year, it mainly exceeding Indian permissible standards consumptions many fold. Finally by use indices like Average Daily Dose (ADD) Chronic Intake (CDI) along Hazard Quotient (HQ) carcinogenic risk, on human health, highest ground water vegetables. fills gap scientific substantiation actively developing hazards regional level.
