ABSTRACT Bacteria and fungi are natural sources of metabolites exhibiting diverse bioactive properties such as wound healing, antioxidative, antibacterial, antifungal, anti‐inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer activities. Two important groups bacteria or fungi‐derived with wound‐healing potential polysaccharides peptides. In addition to bacteria‐derived cellulose hyaluronic acid chitin chitosan, these organisms also produce different (e.g., exopolysaccharides) potential. The most commonly used bacterial peptides in healing studies bacteriocins lipopeptides. exhibit both the vitro vivo potency. models, including animals humans, positively affect by inhibiting pathogens, antioxidant activity, modulating inflammatory response, moisturizing environment, promoting proliferation migration fibroblasts keratinocytes, increasing collagen synthesis, re‐epithelialization, angiogenesis. Therefore, derived from have medicinal importance. This study aims overview current literature knowledge (especially within past 5 years) on repair potentials obtained (Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Cyanobacteria, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria) (yeasts, filamentous microfungi, mushrooms).

Abstract Antioxidants are organic molecules that scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitrogen (RNS), thereby maintaining cellular redox balance in living organisms. The human body synthesizes endogenous antioxidants, whereas humans obtain exogenous antioxidants from other organisms such as plants, animals, fungi, bacteria. This review primarily focuses on the antioxidant potential of natural metabolites extracts five major bacterial phyla, including well-studied Actinobacteria Cyanobacteria , well less-studied Bacteroides Firmicutes Proteobacteria . literature survey revealed with activity can be obtained cells their culture supernatants. include pigments, phycobiliproteins, polysaccharides, mycosporins-like amino acids, peptides, phenolic compounds, alkaloids. Both demonstrate vitro capacity through radical-scavenging, metal-reducing, metal-chelating assays. In vivo models, they ROS RNS directly and/or indirectly eliminate them by enhancing activities enzymes, catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase. Due to activities, may find applications cosmetic industry anti-aging agents for skin medicine drugs or supplements combating oxidative stress-related disorders, neurodegenerative diseases diabetes. also elucidated some exhibited strong antimicrobial properties. Therefore, we consider have future treatment infectious diseases, preparation pathogen-free healthy foods, extension food shelf life.

The increase in cancer incidence recent years necessitates urgent exploration of novel and alternative sources natural bioactives for targeted therapy. Approximately 75% the Earth’s surface is covered by oceans, which are thought to harbor untapped physiologically active compounds with potential efficacy against cancer. Recently, a growing focus has been on isolating investigating bioactive derived from marine sources. Bioactive metabolites diverse chemical structures, isolated various species such as algae, mollusks, actinomycetes, demonstrate wide range cancers. To our knowledge, this one articles that reviewed papers application marine-derived This study aims showcase some most current developments therapy have identified
