Despite being an efficient nitrogen (N) management method, the effects of controlled-release urea combined with normal (CRUNU) on stem and root lodging yield in maize have been rarely reported. Therefore, we conducted a field trial for three years between 2020 2022 using two N fertilizer types (CRUNU (NU)) application levels (low: 135 kg ha–1; medium: 180 high: 225 ha–1) to evaluate their maize, factors involved. The results showed that, compared NU, CRUNU reduced rate under rates, all were lowest medium rate. decreased was mainly attributed improved synchronization supply demand, population traits (plant height, ear center gravity height), morphological (length mass density) basal second, third, fourth internodes (I2, I3, I4), increased mechanical properties (stem breaking strength rind penetration strength), greater resistance index (SLRI), enhanced chemical compositions (lignin its related synthetase activities, cellulose, hemicellulose) I2, I4, increases bending strength, average diameter, vertical root-pulling CRUNU. Using conservation tillage to grow crops that enhance soil quality, such as legumes, seems be one of the best solutions for sustainable agriculture. In plant horticulture, furrow fertilizing is a common method to promote nutrient absorption and effectively avoid fertilizer waste. Considering the high resistance caused by soil compaction in southern orchards, an energy-saving ditching device was proposed. During the later reproductive period of rice growth, chlorophyll in leaves degraded, accompanied by nitrogen (N) transportation from to panicle, resulting a change leaf color green yellow. Improved fertilizer management, with a combination of organic and inorganic inputs, has the potential to enhance rice yield while maintaining soil health. However, studies on effects broadcast prilled urea (PU) deep placement (UDP) applied in inputs (poultry litter [PL] vermicompost [VC]), as integrated plant nutrition systems (IPNSs), yields nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) under alternate wetting drying (AWD) irrigation are limited. We conducted field experiments during dry wet seasons 2018, 2019, 2020 investigate treatments, including control (no nitrogen), UDP, PU, IPNSs (PU + VC, PU PL, UDP PL) NUE two regimes - AWD continuous flooding (CF). The results revealed that treatment regime had significant (p < 0.05) interaction agronomic N (AEN) season. significantly boosted yield, total matter (TDM), compared both seasons. Hetao Irrigation District (HID) is one of the main regions for maize and sunflower production in North China. However, water resource shortages soil salinization greatly limit production. Despite growing interest in controlled-release N fertilizers (CRNFs) because of their potential for enhancing nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) and economic returns, comprehensive impact on machine-transplanted rice remains to be understudied. To address this gap, here, we present a two-year field experiment that assessed the CRNF using mechanical deep placement fertilization (DPF) cultivation. The study involved three types (bulk blending fertilizer (BBF), polymer-coated urea (PCU), sulfur-coated (SCU)) two methods (DPF broadcast application), with high-yield split as control (CK). results showed DPF, especially SCU, greatly enhanced soil NH4+-N concentrations, NUE, yield, benefits compared application. BBF consistently exhibited superior NUE notable benefits, regardless application method used. Conversely, single-time PCU was less favorable growth. In conclusion, optimal DPF combined SCU is recommended. However, if not feasible only broadcasting possible cultivation, emerges ideal choice both high significant returns. This research offers insights improved management rice, effectively optimizing profitability.
