Psychobiotics-live microorganisms with potential mental health benefits, which can modulate the microbiota-gut-brain-axis via immune, humoral, neural, and metabolic pathways-are emerging as novel therapeutic options for effective treatment of psychiatric disorders Recently, microbiome studies have identified numerous putative psychobiotic strains, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) producing bacteria attracted special attention from neurobiologists. Recent highlighted that SCFAs-producing such Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium Clostridium a very specific function in various disorders, suggesting these be psychobiotics. SCFAs, mediators microbiota-gut-brain axis, might neurological processes. While roles mechanisms microbiota-targeted interventions on neuropsychiatric disease are largely unknown. This Review summarizes existing knowledge neuroprotective effects modulating axis illustrate their possible by may act will shed light promising source

Both personalized medicine and nanomedicine are new to medical practice. Nanomedicine is an application of the advances nanotechnology in being integrated into diagnostic therapeutic tools manage array conditions. On other hand, medicine, which also referred as precision a novel concept that aims individualize/customize management based on personal attributes patient overcome blanket treatment only efficient subset patients, leaving others with either ineffective or results significant toxicity. Novel nanomedicines have been employed several diseases, can be adapted each patient-specific case according their genetic profiles. In this review, we discuss both areas intersection between two emerging scientific domains. The review focuses current situation advantages offered by nanoconstructs diagnosis variability identify right drug for patient. Finally, touch upon challenges fields towards translation nano-personalized medicine.

Abstract Transdermal drug delivery provides convenient and pain-free self-administration for personalized therapy. However, challenges remain in treating acute diseases mainly due to their inability timely administrate therapeutics precisely regulate pharmacokinetics within a short time window. Here we report the development of active acoustic metamaterials-driven transdermal rapid on-demand disease management. Through integration metamaterials, compact therapeutic patch is integrated penetration skin stratum corneum percutaneous transport with precise control dose rate over time. Moreover, device quantitatively regulates dosage release kinetics achieves better performance vivo than through subcutaneous injection. As proof-of-concept application, show our method can reverse life-threatening allergic reactions female mouse model anaphylaxis via multi-burst epinephrine, showing efficacy fixed injection which current gold standard ‘self-injectable epinephrine’ strategy.
