Abstract This study investigated the effects of cottonseed meal protein hydrolysate (CPH) on growth performance, carcass characteristics, serum biochemical indices, intestinal morphology, and enzyme activities yellow‐feather broilers. We randomly divided 240 chicks into four groups, each with six replicates: a basal diet 0% (CON), 1% (LCPH), 3% (MCPH), or 5% (HCPH) CPH. The trail spanned 63 days included three phases: Days 1–21, 22–42, 43–63. Increased average daily gain (ADG) decreased ratio feed to (F/G) LCPH were observed in 21‐day‐old broilers ( P < 0.05). MCPH led higher ADG intake (ADFI) 42‐day‐old Additionally, CPH supplementation resulted increased dressing percentage, percentage half‐eviscerated yield, eviscerated breast muscle rate, leg rate 0.05) diet. levels total (TP), high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P) enhanced, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) triglyceride (TG) length jejunum ileum weight duodenum, jejunum, Alterations duodenal villus structure occurred 21 42, groups performed better; however, similar change 42 HCPH enhanced trypsin activity duodenum 63‐day‐old p Chymotrypsin > fed MCPH. Legumes, including beans, peas, chickpeas, and lentils, are cultivated worldwide serve as important components of a balanced nutritious diet. Each legume variety contains unique levels protein, starch, fiber, lipids, minerals, vitamins, with potential applications in various industries. By-products such hulls, rich bioactive compounds, offer promise for value-added utilization health-focused product development. Various extraction methods employed to enhance protein rates from by-products, finding foods meat analogs, breads, desserts. Moreover, essential fatty acids, carotenoids, tocols, polyphenols abundant several residual fractions legumes. These classes linked reduced incidence cardiovascular diseases, chronic inflammation, some cancers, obesity, type 2 diabetes, among other relevant health conditions. The present contribution provides comprehensive review the nutritional composition major legumes their by-products. Additionally, bioaccessibility bioavailability aspects consumption, well vitro vivo evidence effects addressed.

Proteins hydrolyzed by enzymes were biologically active. The protein‐rich, defatted Tenebrio molitor was used as raw material and alkaline protease. effects of temperature, time, pH, liquid‐to‐feed ratio, enzyme addition investigated with degree hydrolysis (DH) an index; the enzymatic process optimized using one‐way response surface experimental methods, antioxidant, physicochemical properties, amino acid compositions hydrolysates analyzed. results showed that optimum conditions for preparation at 52°C 120 min, pH 7.5, a dosage 5000 U/g, liquid‐to‐material ratio 30:1, under which DH 13.82%. Antioxidant analysis revealed exhibited scavenging ability free radicals. rate DPPH· reached 47.51% when it 0.4 mg/mL, its IC50 427.51 mg/mL.
