Pyrus ussuriensis, also known as Ussurian pear, is a deciduous tree from the Rosaceae family. This study examined phytochemical profiles and antioxidant activities of different parts (1-year-old stem, 2-year-old leaves) ussuriensis Maxim. P. var. ovoidea. The analysis included measurements total polyphenol content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), evaluations 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) 2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS+) radical scavenging activities. Quantitative analyses were conducted using liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) high-performance chromatography (HPLC/UV). with one-way ANOVA indicated significant differences in TPC TFC across tissues, stems exhibiting highest leaves showing both Among structures, exhibited TPC, whereas ovoidea displayed stronger activity than ussuriensis. LC-MS/MS detected 18 phytochemicals, chlorogenic acid being most abundant, especially leaf extracts, confirmed HPLC/UV analyses. cultivar-based comparison highlights tissue-specific distribution bioactive compounds, primarily contributing to high polyphenolic content. Collectively, these findings provide valuable insights into rich diversity potential cultivars, highlighting their versatility various fields.

Objective: This study evaluated the potential of frangipani (Plumeria alba) flower extract and seaweed (Ulva lactuca) extracts as natural sunscreen cream. Methods: An experimental design with a randomized group approach was used, involving five sample groups. The sun protection factor (SPF) value determined using an ultraviolet (UV)–visible spectrophotometer. Frangipani were extracted ethanol formulated into Results: combination 3% resulted in highest SPF 17.6, demonstrating its effectiveness protector against UV radiation. Conclusion: concludes that are promising ingredients for use safe, environmentally friendly sunscreens. These findings contribute to utilization local resources development safer, ingredient-based cosmetic products.
