The discovery of antibiotics and pesticides has greatly contributed to the social economic development human society but, due long-term irrational application, it led drug-resistant microorganisms, environmental damage, other hazards, so selection alternative natural, safe, non-hazardous bioactive substances is an effective solution for this problem. D-limonene a compound widely present in various plant essential oils, exhibiting excellent broad-spectrum bioactivity promising prospects clinical application. This review provides detailed overview biological activities D-limonene, emphasizing its antimicrobial, anthelmintic, insecticidal, medicinal potential. While nanoencapsulation technology shows promise improving physicochemical properties enhancing practical applications, also crucial comprehensively evaluate potential side effects before use.

Abstract Purpose The current study aims to improve the oral bioavailability of Origanum majorana essential oil loaded nanoemulsions (OMEO -NEs) for treatment Alzheimer’s disease in mice induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Methods Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry analysis (GC–MS) analyses were performed determine leaves components. Yield oil, phenolic content, and flavonoid content also ascertained. Four NEs containing various concentrations carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) a fixed concentration Tween 80 as mixed emulsifiers. Plain OMEO its chosen NE tested their antioxidant properties against DPPH & ABTS, hydrogen peroxide, metal chelation assay. vivo divided into five groups at random (8 per group): Group 1: normal control group. 2: LPS positive group (250 µg/kg; intraperitoneal); Groups 3–5: Oral administration 400 mg/kg Blank NE, plain OMEO, OMEO-NE 7 days conjunction with LPS. Results GC–MS identified primary constituents which are α-Terpineol (21.85%), γ-Terpinene (12.43), α-Caryophyllene (11.78%). encapsulation efficiency % was improved when CMC reduced. Particle size zeta potential values prepared reasonable. In every test, showed stronger activity than OMEO. When compared LPS-treated mice, increased cognitive function decreased AChE, TLR4, GFAP levels. Conclusion provides opportunities safer approaches that using compounds derived from plants links it nanotechnology, could be used pharmaceutical industry treat disease.

Abstract This study explores the antifungal properties of ferulic acid (FA), methylester (FAM), and ethylester (FAE), against Botryosphaeria dothidea ( B. ), their effects on postharvest quality (decay rate, weight loss total soluble solids, titratable acids, firmness, respiration rate) “Hongyang” kiwifruit. The results demonstrated that FAE exhibited a stronger in vitro inhibitory effect than FA FAM, offered superior preservation kiwifruit after harvest. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images revealed mycelium treated with FA, showed altered surface morphology, signs plasmolysis. Transmission (TEM) further confirmed caused significant damage to cell membrane organelles . Additional analyses using propidium iodide (PI) calcofluor fluorescence white (CFW) staining, conductivity tests, alkaline phosphatase (AKP) assays treatments compromised integrity. In addition, treatment reduced decay rate kiwifruit, delayed softening process respiratory peak, maintained prolonged antioxidant enzyme activity, preserving fruit's over time.
