Abstract
The
synthesis
of
hexagonal
boron
nitride
(h‐BN)
by
the
reaction
oxide
(B
2
O
3
)
and
NH
represents
an
environmentally
friendly
economical
preparation
process.
Employing
a
catalyst
to
improve
issues
including
low
conversion
rate
is
important
facilitate
implementation
this
method.
In
study,
we
studied
effect
adding
lithium
(Li
O)
with
mass
fraction
14%–25%
on
process
between
B
at
1000–1200
°C.
During
process,
Li
reacts
form
borate
melt.

facilitates
diffusion

BN,
thus
promoting
growth
h‐BN.
A
nearly
complete
h‐BN
was
observed

when
heating
