This observational study aimed to investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of demoralization syndrome (DS) in elderly maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients, with a focus on improving their psychological distress levels. Convenient sampling was used select 350 MHD patients aged 60 or older from three tertiary hospitals China. Data collected using questionnaires, including Chinese version DS Scale. Statistical analysis conducted SPSS 26.0 software. Single factor revealed that sex, average monthly household income, living alone, dialysis duration, complications, self-care abilities were significant influencers The score moderately high, 59.4% scoring high range. Multivariable linear regression identified self-management as independent impacting DS. highlighted importance addressing enhancing social support, skills, tailoring individualized plans reduce levels alleviate patients. Objective: This study aimed to assess the determinants of demoralization syndrome among patients with breast cancer (BC) in southwestern region China.Methods: investigation constituted a single-center cross-sectional which 176 BC were surveyed through questionnaire covering current status and social support.Results: Majority developed moderate-to-severe levels demoralization.The degree was complex influenced by variety factors.Among BC, demographic variables such as age, education level, residential address, monthly income, occupation, receipt chemotherapy main influencing factors (P < 0.05), whereas children, surgical methods not 0.05).Additionally, all reported receiving support exceeding moderate levels, no statistically significant difference data observed those reporting heightened > 0.05). This study aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which symptom burden affects demoralization in Chinese lung cancer patients, with a focus on roles of family functionality, resilience, and coping strategies. The also explored differences these pathways between two distinct categories. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 567 patients who completed questionnaires assessing burden, functioning, strategies, demoralization. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), multigroup (MG-SEM) employed compare psychological distress-subjective incompetence group (PDSIG) low demoralization-emotional disturbance (LDEDG).
