Psychological and Behavior Investigation of Chinese Residents: concepts, practices, and prospects

To provide researchers with a comprehensive understanding of the Psychological and Behavior Investigation Chinese Residents (PBICR), this paper introduces its background features from four aspects. In terms design concept, PBICR focuses on various aspects mental health behaviors population, takes full account timeliness efficiency, adheres to original intention open data access sharing, builds high-quality database large-sample, multi-center, repetitive, nationwide cross-sectional promote mining exchange cooperation; in survey implementation, adopts combination population size-proportional, multi-stage sampling quota sampling, obtains through face-to-face field surveys strict quality control ensure representativeness reliability samples. Regarding output, PBICR's research content is rich updated line international hotspots, which can satisfy demand for needs diversified variables data. Previous results have had significant impact many fields such as public health, management, communication, psychology. Abstract Introduction This study protocol specifies the primary research line and theoretical framework of 2024 Survey Psychology Behavior Chinese Population. Understanding the Nexus Between Anxiety and Acoustic Perception in University Students: A Quasi-Experimental Study During Pandemic-Induced Lockdown

Anxiety significantly impacts the well-being of university students. This study employs pandemic-induced lockdown as a quasi-experimental situation to examine students’ perceptions acoustic environment and anxiety levels, further investigating potential correlation between these two variables. An online questionnaire survey was conducted with 250 respondents from seven cities, across nine universities in China, encompassing both high- low-risk areas concerning pandemic. Machine learning-driven development of a stratified CES-D screening system: optimizing depression assessment through adaptive item selection

Abstract Objective To develop a stratified screening tool through machine learning approaches for the Center Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D-20) while maintaining diagnostic accuracy, addressing efficiency limitations in large-scale applications. Methods Data were derived from Chinese Psychological Health Guard Project (primary sample: n = 179,877; age 9–18) and China Labor-force Dynamics Survey (validation samples across spans). We employed two-stage approach: first applying Recursive Feature Elimination with multiple linear regression to identify core predictive items total depression scores, followed by logistic optimizing classification (CES-D ≥ 16). Model performance was systematically evaluated discrimination (ROC analysis), calibration (Brier score), clinical utility analyses (decision curve additional validation using random forest support vector algorithms independent samples. Results The resulting system consists of an initial four-item rapid layer (encompassing emotional, cognitive, interpersonal dimensions) detecting probable (AUC 0.982, sensitivity 0.945, specificity 0.926), enhanced assessment five items.
