Abstract Addressing environmental pollution is fundamental to establishing sustainable development across the globe. While navigating Fourth Industrial Revolution, it of critical relevance for economies worldwide come up with innovative measures that can withstand factors driving pollution. On note, this study explores technological innovation‐environmental linkages in context 10 members Organization Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) using data spanning from 1994 2018. Notably, considering ecological footprints as proxy, analysis controls corresponding levels economic growth, financial development, renewable energy consumption concerned countries. In addition, long‐term estimates are investigated Augmented Mean Group, Common Correlation Effects Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square, Dynamic Square techniques while causality relationship determined by Dumitrescu‐Hurlin panel bootstrapped test. The results establish cointegrating among variables considered. It also observed growth increases footprint level, innovation, consumption, reduce it. Moreover, reveal innovation causally influence each other, there one‐way causalities moving footprint. Furthermore, a two‐way concerning detected. Considering these results, pertinent selected OECD countries improve efficiency rates, scale investment developing sector, execute policies support investments initiatives low‐carbon development. Additionally, should look implement compatible objectives green so low‐emission take place tackle climate change‐related problems.

Renewable energy usage is deemed a feasible panacea to environmental degradation and poverty. In pursuit of carbon neutrality, nations are obligated formulate strategies that bolster renewable initiatives following the Sustainable Development Goals United Nations. Given this, this article scrutinises impact financial development on advancement consumption within energy- Kuznets curve (REKC) framework while controlling for foreign direct investment (FDI), trade openness, governance urbanisation using panel 38 Sub-Saharan African (SSA) from 2002-2019. The empirical findings based corrected standard error (PCSE) Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) models validated REKC hypothesis in SSA region. Financial development, economic growth, governance, have substantial detrimental consumption, whereas FDI has neutral effect. Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality tests demonstrate bidirectional (feedback) between all its determinants except where unidirectional openness was established. these insights, our paper adds literature provides incisive suggestions policy formulation.

The United States (US) as the second leading economy in global ecological pollution has become a fertile ground for rigorous analysis of neutrality using load capacity factor (LCF) and carbon‐based consumption (CCO 2 ). This is important drive achieving environmental sustainability by 2050. LCF one most comprehensive proxies that incorporate biocapacity footprint. In this context, research examines effect natural resources, technological innovation, renewable energy financial globalization on US date spanning from 1990 to 2021. Using novel augmented auto‐regressive distributive lag (AARDL) model, empirical findings study indicate (i) energy, innovation promote increasing decreasing CCO emissions; (ii) economic growth mitigate increase (iii) causal observed among LCF. light findings, recommends several crucial measures targets set out sustainable development goals (SDGs) 7 13, respectively.

ABSTRACT As a strategy, countries seek ways to improve national income and, at the same time, keep carbon emissions minimal. Such scenario is captured by respective economies' productivity (CP) scores. Remarkably, it expected that technological advancements could be harnessed achieve CP. Hence, many have publicly invested in green technologies R&D, including energy efficiency, renewables, nuclear, hydrogen, and storage. However, existing studies did not verify specific contributions of these advances CP, leaving notable void literature. current research verified various technology R&D Based on panel data from 2003 2022, this study implemented novel instrumental variable quantile regression technique for updated insights. The uncovers heterogeneous each innovation variant distributions effects underscore country's changing economic structures varied implementation paths. policy consistency key driving CP ensuring environmental compatibility. renewable, efficiency contributed most significantly across distributions. hydrogen storage least Therefore, allocating more funds all R&Ds boost energy‐enhancing overall sustainability expedient. proactive integrative policies consistent with SDGs 7 13 would reduce while escalating income. Meanwhile, isolated inconsistent funding should discouraged progress. A robustness evaluation based SIVQR produced corroborative evidence.
