The
rapid
increase
in
population

economic

greatly
influenced
land
use
spatial
development.
In
urban
agglomerations
where
socioeconomic
are
densely
concentrated,
the
clash
between
ecological
protection
growth
is
becoming
more
evident.
Therefore,
a
thorough
quantitative
assessment
of
changes
driven
by
dynamics,
alongside
an
examination
temporal
driving
factors,
crucial
offering
scientific
backing
for
long-term
sustainable
agglomerations.
This
paper
focuses
on
major
China’s
Yangtze
River
Delta
region,
examining
spatiotemporal
evolution
landscape
patterns
from
2000
to
2020.
By
employing
standard
deviation
ellipse
technique,
coupled
with
multiple
linear
regression
geographical
detector
model,
we
conduct
directional
trends
construction
expansion
as
well
diverse
impacts
factors
this
across
various
periods
regions.
findings
indicate
that
over
past
20
years,
Urban
Agglomeration
expanded
concentrated
patches,
showing
significant
scale
effects
relatively
intact
farmland
forest
being
increasingly
encroached
upon.
Landscape-type
transitions
predominantly
occurred
cities
around
Taihu
Lake
Hangzhou
Bay,
most
transition
converted
land,
resulting
greater
number
patches
pronounced
fragmentation.
Throughout
shifted,
predominant
trending
northwest
toward
southeast,
EN
orientation
intense
area,
covering
1641.24
km2.

Understanding
the
interactions
between
human
sphere
and
natural
in
key
places
regions
of
world
is
crucial
for
promoting
sustainability
science
achieving
sustainable
development.
As
one
emerging
global
city-regions
China
Global
South,
Yangtze
River
Delta
(YRD)
plays
an
increasingly
nonnegligible
role
globalized
economy
telecoupling
social-ecological
systems
(SESs).
Considering
well-known
importance
representativeness,
YRD
has
been
regarded
as
appropriate
experimental
site
integrated
research
on
geographical
at
subnational
scale.
This
paper
tries
to
establish
theoretical
practical
linkages
regional
integration
development
scale
based
goals
(SDGs),
Chinese
contexts,
a
literature
review
relevant
researches.
We
argue
that
future
should
pay
more
attention
interdisciplinary,
transregional,
multi-scale
attributes
issues
related
YRD.
The
following
agendas,
such
linking
SDGs
integrative
development,
analyzing
SESs,
assessing
region
scale,
investigating
different
scales,
exploring
applicable
governance
structures
institutions,
well
applying
multi-source
data
interdisciplinary
methodologies,
call
scholarly
attention.

could
be
initial
motion
expand
enrich
research.
