Assessing the performance level of human settlement improvement in traditional villages is significant promoting protection villages, but there a lack research on from perspective corporate governance previous studies. This paper selected 16 as case and obtained total 345 questionnaires. By reference to Balanced Scorecard (BSC) theory, evaluation index system for constructed this paper. In addition, exhibited by evaluated analyzed via entropy weight Technique Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method obstacle degree analysis method. study reveals following findings: (1) The Jiaozuo city ranges between 0.28 0.64, with an average value 0.49, thus indicating medium level. (2) With respect subdimensions performance, policy management dimension (0.88) exhibits highest value, followed villagers (0.48) learning growth (0.27), while financial benefits (0.10) lowest value. (3) obstacles affecting different types are characterized both similarities differences. summarized effects village improvement, provided more scientific reliable suggestions future so better promote sustainable development environment.

The ecosystems and human social systems in karst areas are undergoing rapid development. In this context, effectively identifying changes the various functions of is crucial for formulating accurate sustainable development policies. However, few studies have discussed ecological, production, within an integrated framework. Therefore, paper utilizes comprehensive evaluation methods, standard deviation classification, coordination models to analyze spatiotemporal these from 2000 2020. results indicate that over 20-year period, ecological function, production function shown annual growth trend with noticeable differentiation. dominant area undergone significant changes, being 2000, becoming 2010, taking lead Over past 20 years, lagged type has remained predominant combined type. levels among three significantly improved, between transitioning non-coordination 2010. Furthermore, achieved status This study enhances understanding multifunctional evolution provides theoretical practical guidance restoration, industrial development, reconstruction areas.

Territorial Space (TS) is characterized by its multifunctionality. The identification and management of Spatial Functions (TSFs) across multi-scale crucial for achieving the SDGs. However, previous studies have primarily concentrated on variations in TSFs within administrative or grid units at a single scale, with investigations remaining challenge. This study focuses typical karst region Guangxi province China develops Multi-Scale Fusion model (MSF) assessing employs coupling coordination degree (CCD) to examine relationships. Furthermore, principal component analysis (PCA) used classify various types influencing factors, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index employed identify primary factors county level. integrates advantage into zoning process. results demonstrate: (1) Ecological function dominant function. At unit production living functions exhibit spatial pattern “high southeast low northwest”, while ecological shows opposite pattern. Under scale fusion, high texture characteristics are more pronounced. (2) slight moderate disorder. Slight disorder widely distributed, predominantly found northwest mountainous regions. In contrast, coordinated relationships frequently observed urban areas. (3) driver can be categorized four categories: Terrain-Population, Agriculture Development, Location-Economy, Non-Agriculture Development. By integrating relationships, six zones delineated. Based this, precise differentiated optimization suggestions proposed promote orderly utilization sustainable development TS.

The conflict between socio-economic development and ecological protection is prominent, as the practice framework for territorial spatial planning rational layout function coordination of production–life–ecological (PLE) spaces are crucial achieving regional sustainable development. However, dynamic evolution PLE structure function, well driving mechanisms PLE, still understudied. Therefore, this study takes Ji-shaped bend Energy-Rich Area (ERA) Yellow River basin a case study, classifies based on land use data, develops indicator system consistent with characteristics an ERA. This paper characterizes from both perspectives explores coupling coordinated degree (CCD) among functions their factors. results show following: (1) From 2000 to 2020, area living space increased by 35.86%, while areas production decreased 2.10% 0.08%, respectively. (2) increased, performing better in typical ERA atypical (3) CCD 24.85%, demonstrating higher than (4) Factors had most significant impact followed drivers. These provide valuable insights guidance regulating promoting

The quality of urban human settlements (UHSs) directly affects the city’s livability and well-being its residents. Scientific monitoring assessment UHSs, their progress toward sustainable development, impacts they experience from rapid urbanization can accelerate implementation United Nations development goals (SDGs) in field settlements. This study focuses on Chenzhou City, an innovation demonstration zone for China’s Sustainable Development Agenda. It develops a evaluation index based SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities Communities), 6 (Clean Water Sanitation), other relevant SDGs, with objectives residential stability, facilitated mobility, safety residents, comfortable environment, low-carbon development. Solutions Network (SDSN) methodology was utilized to assess City 2015 2022, focusing UHS indicators, targets, (SDI) scores. geographic detector techniques were employed investigate impact new UHSs. analysis found following: (1) After established (2019–2022), scores five SDI increased by over 50% compared pre-establishment period (2015–2018), highly significant difference between two periods. (2) Among 35 indicators measured, proportion those that reached or nearly targets 57.1% 2018 71.4% 2022. As there has been positive goal while efforts four have made some but require further acceleration. (3) process had notable SDI, most influencing factors positively correlated interactive effects population, economic, social, spatial demonstrate strong explanatory power. findings provide decision-making support zone’s UHSs offer reference evaluating similar cities.
