Introduction This article explores how systemic injustices and social inequalities affect refugee asylum seeker integration, thriving, mental health in London. is pertinent as the United Kingdom currently operates a ‘broken’ system with unfair policies ‘tough’ immigration rhetoric which makes it extraordinarily difficult for seekers refugees to achieve community have good quality of life, be able thrive, including health. Childhood violence and mental health remain concerning public issues globally yet there is limited evidence on the associations between experiences of such in refugee settings. To assess association childhood (sexual, physical, emotional violence) (severe distress, self-harm, suicidal ideation and/or attempted suicide) settings Uganda. Data are from 2022 Uganda Humanitarian Violence against Children Youth Survey (HVACS) conducted among 1,338 females 927 males aged 13-24 years March April 2022. Cross-tabulation with chi-square tests multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to experiencing health. The results show a high prevalence (females 40.8% vs 55.2%) distress (45% for both females). Females who experienced sexual had significantly higher odds reporting severe (aOR=1.989; CI=1.216-3.255), suicide (aOR=4.119; CI=2.157-7.864) self-harm (aOR=3.734; CI=1.619-8.609) compared those did not experience violence. Abstract Despite the burden of mental health problems among refugees, knowledge about care for this group is limited. Despite the multifaceted and diverse challenges that refugees, migrants, asylum-seekers experience when entering a new country, they remain notably underrepresented in evaluation understanding of health wellbeing impacts outdoor interventions. We addressed this knowledge gap by mixed-methods (questionnaires, focus groups photo elicitation activity) facilitated community researcher. Impact of pre-migration trauma and post-migration settlement on refugee mental health wellbeing is well-documented. However, little research has focused the specific places where refugees settle spend their daily lives within context. This study adopts an eco-social perspective to explore relationship between urban neighborhoods wellbeing. We conducted twenty-six qualitative interviews with Somali in London Bristol UK. Abstract Background The global surge in refugee populations has sparked considerable apprehension regarding their mental health. This study explores the symptom profile and associated factors among patients admitted to Okasha Institute of Psychiatry, Ain Shams University, hospitals between 2018 2021. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted utilizing medical records Psychiatry Data collection encompassed socio-demographic characteristics, diagnoses, reported stressors, specific profiles. Results involved 36 patients, averaging 26.7 years, predominantly female (61.1%), Sudanese origin (45.9%). Prevalent diagnoses included bipolar disorder (36.8%), schizophrenia (26.3%), major depressive (13.2%). diverse array stressors emerged, with immigration-related issues ranking highest (21.2%). Other noteworthy comprised marital conflicts (15.2%) house-related difficulties (15.2%). Conclusion highlighted prevalence severe illnesses, varied distinct profiles refugees psychiatric admissions underscored imperative for culturally sensitive trauma-informed health services. Associations between Neighbourhood Social Composition and Refugee Mental Health - Quasi-Experimental Evidence from a Danish Population Cohort Study DOI

Background: Refugees are at an elevated risk of some mental disorders with studies highlighting the contributing role post-migration factors.
