The family factor has profound and far-reaching influence on adolescents. present study investigates the relationship between parental practices adolescent depression during crucial transitional period. four parenting philosophies authoritarian, permissive, authoritative, neglectful are identified. Due to lack research, style not summarized in this work. A protective against occurs authoritative style, which high control acceptance. authoritarian values over acceptance, other hand, negative effect course depression. permissive produces inconsistent results different research cultural backgrounds. Overall, highlights important role that have teenage mental health recommends specific interventions promote well-being. Some limitations prior future directions also discussed.

Abstract Background Childhood and adolescence are critical periods for physical mental development. For that, sounding the alarm warning signs red flags of children’s health disorders is important to promote good wellness throughout lifespan. The aim study was assess adolescents’ in relation parenting styles. Methods This used a descriptive cross-sectional design. From early May 2022 until late October 2022, Zagazig University Egypt hosted this investigation. Subjects: study, 400 parents staff, employees, workers who agreed engage current were gathered as convenience sample. Tools: In order get required data, three tools utilized. Tool I: A questionnaire interviews gather demographic information about participating their children. II: Adapted Ontario Child Health Study Emotional Behavioural Scale: Parent Version (for children 4–17 years). III: Parenting style scale . Results It found that criteria conduct disorder constituted highest followed by attention deficit hyperactivity major depression with mean standard deviation 15.10 ± 3.7, 12.83 3.4, 11.9 2.8. Also, 66% practiced permissive while 18% them authoritative 16% authoritarian style. Conclusion determined most prevalent, depressive disorder. Additionally, there high statistical significance between disorders, styles, parental educational level. protect health, recommended alerting teachers detection management. educate effective methods how behave correctly Psychological counseling centers seeking help should be available everywhere announced.

Background: Previous studies have identified the relationships between parental parenting style, personality, and mental health. However, interactive influences mother’s father’s styles on personality been examined less often. To fill gaps, first aim of this study was to build style differences (PDs) five-factor dimensions. This study investigated the effect of autonomy-supportive parenting practices on young adolescents’ self-reported motivation to defend victims bullying, and possible mediating effects factors such as reactance, anxiety, depression, stress. Methods Data were collected from 578 Italian public school students ages 10–14 (M age = 11.8 years, 52% boys), who completed a survey in their classroom. The relationship between parenting styles (PS) and anxiety depressive symptoms is one of the key research topics today. Researchers have found progress in cause adolescents’ regarding styles. However, there are still gaps for factors related to PS. Therefore, this study investigates effect PS on treats self-efficacy (SE) as mediator by collecting data from several scales (SAS, SDS, s-EMBU-C GSE) conducting SPSS 21.0 analysis data. According results paper, father’s emotional warmth style (EWPS) could affect level anxiety, whereas that mother had an insignificant result. Besides, both parents’ EWS were negatively indirectly correlated with depression significance. Additionally, rejection (RPS) over-protection (OPPS) affected significantly directly positively (all p < 0.05). That result turned out be indirect path. Generally, provides appropriate suggestion lower symptoms. encourage parents offer more their children instead being RPS OPPS.

Bu çalışmada, İlkokula Hazırlık Sürecinde Birlikte Ebeveynlik Ölçeği’nin (İHBEÖ) geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, çocuğu ilkokula hazırlık sürecinde bulunan 506 ebeveynden (284 anne, %56.1; 222 baba, %43.9) oluşmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında geliştirilen ölçeğin, yapı geçerliğini belirlemek için açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) ve doğrulayıcı (DFA) tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. İki farklı örneklem üzerinden gerçekleştirilen analizlerde ilk olarak AFA tekniği ile "Anlaşma (5 madde)", "Çatışma madde)" "İş Bölümü olmak üzere üç alt boyut 15 maddeden oluşan ölçek yapısı ortaya çıkarılmış ikinci yapılan DFA’da faktörlü yapısının doğrulandığı görülmüştür. ölçeğin güvenirlik düzeyini amacıyla hesaplanan Cronbach Alpha değerlerinin .80 .90 arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir. İHBEÖ’nün kararlılık test tekrar yöntemi kullanılmıştır. sonuçları, Türk kültüründe olan ebeveynlerin birlikte ebeveynlik ilişkilerini ölçmek geçerli, güvenilir kullanışlı bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermiştir.
