This study explores the spatiotemporal variability and determinants of rainfall patterns during March to May (MAM) season in Rwanda, incorporating an analysis teleconnections with oceanic–atmospheric indices over period 1983–2021. Utilizing Climate Hazards Group Infrared Precipitation Stations (CHIRPS) dataset, employs a set statistical tools including standardized anomalies, empirical orthogonal functions (EOF), Pearson correlation, Mann–Kendall (MK) trend test, Sen’s slope estimator dissect intricacies variability, trends, their association large-scale climatic drivers. The findings reveal distinct southwest northwest gradient across MK test signaling decline annual precipitation, particularly southwest. for MAM reveals general downtrend rainfall, attributed part Indian Ocean Sea surface temperatures (SSTs). Notably, leading EOF mode demonstrates unimodal pattern, explaining significant 51.19% total variance, underscoring pivotal role atmospheric dynamics moisture conveyance shaping seasonal rainfall. spatial correlation suggests modest linkage between Dipole, indicating that negative (positive) phases are likely result anomalously wet (dry) conditions Rwanda. comprehensive assessment highlights intricate interplay local global phenomena, offering valuable insights into meteorological underpinnings Rwanda’s critical season.

To meet the growing international demand for aromatic rice, this study, conducted at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, aimed to enhance yield and quality of 'Tulaipanji' rice cultivar through advanced establishment methods use organic nutrients over two years. The research tested three planting techniques: mechanical transplanting, wet direct seeding (using a drum seeder), traditional methods, alongside four nutrient management strategies: vermicompost, farmyard manure, mix both, conventional fertilizers. Findings revealed that transplanting significantly increased by 31.98% 71.05% compared seeding, respectively. Using vermicompost alone as source not only boosted yields 21.31% fertilizers but also enhanced rice's nutritional value cooking quality. Moreover, soils treated with showed higher dehydrogenase activity, indicating better soil health. Economically, was most beneficial, yielding highest net returns benefit-cost ratios both years studied. This approach presents viable model improving sustainability production globally, emphasizing economic environmental advantages adopting techniques fertilization methods.

Bali is one of the largest rice granaries in Indonesia, with 668,612 tons produced 2023. Hence, agriculture crucial sectors Bali. Climate change can affect sector many ways. It cause conditions to be better or worse for growing plants distinct areas. Forecasting future climate needed understand extreme long term. Thus, scenarios are required evaluate impacts. We use MarkSim weather generator 17 models under different and collected rainfall temperature data from 2026-2091. The utilized predict Bali, Indonesia. Rainfall coming years expected fluctuate annually, yet it will remain within a relatively stable range 2066 2170 mm. Both maximum (Tmax) minimum (Tmin) projected continue rise, increases up 2 °C. This study offers valuable insights into impact on agriculture, which helpful farmers, researchers, planners, decision-makers.

Abstract This study investigates the effectiveness of refugee camp designs in providing thermal comfort warm, humid climates, with a specific focus on Indonesia. Thermal is crucial for well-being refugees, influencing their health, productivity, and overall quality life. The research evaluates existing structures, considering factors such as ventilation, shading, building materials, spatial organization, also environment. Since this preliminary study, therefore data was collected through literature review observation only. findings indicate that there inadequate poor material choices, insufficient consideration natural cooling strategies. explores potential design improvements, enhanced better shading techniques, use materials higher performance. These improvements are aimed at creating more sustainable comfortable living environments refugees. paper concludes recommendations policymakers, architects, humanitarian organizations to prioritize planning construction camps, ensuring basic human needs refugees met even challenging climatic conditions.

Rice is a staple food consumed worldwide, with nutritional and antinutritional compositions varying across different varieties. This study aimed to assess the morphological, proximate, antinutritive, mineral, vitamin of four rice varieties: Maharami, Lal Quilla, Owena, Igbimo. Standard methods were used for analyses. Morphological analysis revealed grain sizes weights, Quilla exhibiting longest grains (7.8 mm) Maharami having highest 1000-grain weight (29.85 g). The proximate composition showed carbohydrate content ranging from 76.29% 78.79%, energy value (1473.89 kJ/100g). Antinutritive saponin alkaloid contents between 1.42-3.43% 2.67-12.76%, respectively, showing phenol (27.84 mg GAE/g) flavonoid (24.64 QE/g). Mineral significant variations, Owena potassium (4.018 mg/100g) iron (0.060 mg/100g). Vitamin was consistent all samples, Igbimo B3 (2.618 These findings indicate potential these varieties, being particularly rich in bioactive compounds, making them promising dietary applications.
