Abstract Global challenges, such as the COVID‐19 impacts, climate crisis, and geopolitical tensions, have prompted economic transformations. These issues led to macroeconomic data assuming non‐normal distributions, necessitating a nonlinear analytical approach. As result, this study unveils influence of energy intensity, renewable energy, growth, financial development on carbon dioxide emissions in Iceland from 1995Q1 2020Q4 using Quantile‐on‐Quantile Kernel‐Based Regularized Least Squares (QQKRLS) Wavelets Quantile Correlation (WQC) methods. The QQKRLS results showed that growth are negatively associated with across various quantiles, while is positively linked emissions. Furthermore, WQC outcomes confirm QQKRLS. In addition, short medium term, affects long influences light gleaned study, should continue its path investments, create policies will completely decouple emissions, ensure system funding clean activities. This provides roadmap for sustainable environmental development.

This study attempts to investigate how Germany's energy transition has affected environmental quality by considering natural resources, economic growth, financial development, and globalization for the period from 1980 2021. It is also aimed discover that interactions alter with different levels of load capacity factor explanatory variables using novel quantile-based approaches. Thanks unique approaches utilized, efficacy process can be determined quantiles time periods. The results reveal although development enhance quality, growth increasing resource rents harms environment. In addition, increase in all a positive effect on capacity. impact weak high low but it becomes more pronounced middle Our offers various policy recommendations short- long-term low-level effectiveness Germany.

Engineering activities along the Sichuan–Tibet Railway (STR) could cause land degradation and threaten surrounding ecological security. It is crucial to evaluate integrated ecology during after construction of this project. This study assesses STR corridor from 2000 2022 using a transfer matrix, analytic hierarchy process (AHP), PSR-TOPSIS model. The main results are as follows: (1) novel comprehensive assessment including nine indicators feasible. (2) high-quality ecological, surface vegetation, environmental regions were concentrated in Ya’an Nyingchi, whereas low-quality situated Qamdo Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. (3) There was an overall decline quality 2022. While it steadily improved Nyingchi 2010 2022, continued around region. (4) most degraded land-use type 22 years grassland, farmland secure type. Overall, spatial analyses examinations residue disposal sites suggested that these locations have negatively impacted since beginning Our findings implications for preserving ecosystem ensuring sustainability

Even though the effect of oil price shocks on macroeconomics has been extensively investigated, literature how efficiency in household energy use affect crude volatility is yet explored. This study unveils whether lower asymmetrically United States using historical and forecast dataset that spans from 1970:Q1-2040:Q1. Applying multivariate case Quantile-on-Quantile Regression, empirical results show dampens with a stronger connection quantiles before median volatility. However, decreases an increase across The further energy-related CO 2 emissions retail electricity intensify varying effects quantiles. These findings are similar to sensitivity analysis robustness checks. Overall, policy implication our government policymakers need demonstrate unequivocal commitments improving not only energy-efficient practices at level but also mitigate environmental disasters.

Improving material productivity (MP) and energy intensity (EI) is a crucial tool for sustainable consumption production targets of SDGs. However, the diverse effects climate-related development finance (CDF), digital infrastructure (DI), financial (FD) on MP EI in developing countries (DCs) remain underexplored. Therefore, employing method moments quantile regression (MMQR) approach, this study examines heterogeneous CDF, DI, FD across 87 DCs from 2000 to 2020. Also, CDF DI are explored, considering heterogeneity. The results imply that FD, have beneficial efficiency (EE). Specifically, with higher distribution benefit more coefficients rising 0.004 0.019 quantiles estimates increasing 0.224 0.391 medium quantile. Conversely, lower as indicated by ranging −0.017 −0.012 20th 80th −0.569 −0.233 40th 60th quantile, respectively. Besides, drive gain improvement. influenced variations FD. These findings vital implications prudent digitalization policies promote EE DCs, congruent SDG-7.3, SDG-8.4, SDG-12.2 improving resource management.
