This paper focuses on the level of urban–rural integration development and its spatio–temporal evolution patterns in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. It constructs an evaluation indicator system encompassing five dimensions: population, economy, society, ecology, space. By comprehensively using statistical data multi-source employing methods such as entropy method, ESDA, obstacle degree model, various techniques, study measures analyzes at three time points: 2010, 2015, 2020. The findings are follows: (1) overall is low, predominantly low to lower-middle levels, with a clear core-periphery spatial pattern where central urban areas Chengdu’s seven districts Chongqing’s high-value cores, whereas peripheral regional less integrated. (2) From 2010 2020, there was steady increase transitioning from single-core more dynamic point-axis structure emerging growth poles. However, this transition accompanied by reduced inequality within each city, while disparities among cities gradually increased. (3) analysis obstacles across dimensions indicates that faces most significant barriers, mainly due geographical conditions constraints southwestern mountainous counties. In contrast, barriers economic social integration, though initially lower, have increased, highlighting imbalances between service provision. Overall, not only provides systematic measurement analytical framework for rural Circle but also offers theoretical empirical support global research practice integration. Additionally, it proposes targeted policy recommendations.

The lower course of the Yellow River is a “hanging river” across hinterland China, and safety its flood control measures/systems closely tied to stability nation. Ensuring high-quality, sustainable development floodplain while maintaining crucial for entire Basin. Previous studies have primarily focused on overall Basin or economic–ecological coupling cities along river, often neglecting floodplain. This study optimizes socio-economic–flood-safety–ecological (SFE) system typical downstream Landong within dynamics model (SDM) can simulate dynamic behavior SFE systems by constructing mathematical models that incorporate feedback loops time delays. primary components include causal loop modules stock-flow modules. Then, coordination degree established using comprehensive subjective objective weighting method, assessing system’s under five scenarios: inertial development, economic environmental protection, safety, development. results historical validity tests indicate SDM effectively system. suggest increases most scenario, indicating should not only focus socio-economic growth, but also consider ecological concerns. In addition, regulation from socio-economic, environment indicators are necessary achieve coordinated has significant implications policy formulation management high-quality in River.
