Purpose This study examines the factors influencing users' intentions to adopt virtual reality (VR) technologies in museums, emphasizing role of social cognitive theory (SCT) constructs and trust dimensions (ability, integrity benevolence). Design/methodology/approach A survey 413 university students from UAE, KSA Kuwait was conducted, partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) applied analyze relationships between SCT constructs, behavioral intention. Findings significantly impact intention use VR museums. Trust is a key mediator whose play pivotal roles shaping intentions. Gender moderates these relationships, while cultural age differences have minimal effects. Originality/value advances understanding psychological trust-based driving adoption contexts. It provides actionable insights for enhancing users’ Metaverse-based supporting practitioners policymakers leveraging within Metaverse.

The Metaverse represents an innovative post-reality universe that seamlessly blends physical reality with virtual digital environments, facilitated by advanced technologies like reality. Display technologies influence user experience, not only through the perception of product features but also due to their own usage properties. In this work, 12 functional, usable, pleasuring, and media properties were analysed for five display technologies: image rendering, 360° rotation, augmented, immersive, non-immersive virtual reality. The importance assessment chosen studied by taking two different household products. Two variables studying decision expectations considered. results showed that rotation was well-valued in various properties, mainly related functionality usability, while immersive technology stood out most important feature: realism. Both virtual reality (VR) and aromatherapy have shown significant potential in enhancing the health well-being of older adults. Aromatherapy has been noted to improve immersive quality VR experiences. However, combined use these interventions for adults not systematically explored. This scoping review aims identify existing programs supported by evaluate their outcomes on adults’ well-being. Following Joanna Briggs Institute methodology PRISMA-ScR guidelines, included both published unpublished studies. A search across ten databases yielded 901 publications, from which six studies were analyzed, involving 94 participants with a mean age 70 83 years. Results revealed positive impacts well-being, cognition, social engagement. Outcome measures physical, psychological, emotional, cognitive aspects like spatial orientation, stress, happiness, memory, interaction. Benefits enhanced awareness, reduced stress. Multisensory environments also fostered socialization through shared experiences nostalgia. individual differences indicate need personalized content. Despite promising findings, limited evidence supports clinical application nursing practice. Further research is required validate benefits combining aromatherapy.
