The genome editing technique CRISPR/Cas9 has led to major advancements in many research fields and this state-of-the-art tool proven its use genetic studies for various arthropods. Abstract BACKGROUND The rising demand for environmentally friendly pest control highlights the importance of understanding interaction between natural enemies and pesticides. Amblyseius swirskii , a predatory mite extensively used in biocontrol, plays crucial role managing populations agricultural systems. This study characterized susceptibility two colonies to deltamethrin, widely pesticide, assess their potential integration into IPM strategies. This review critically examines current control strategies, focusing on chemical, biological, physical, integrated pest management (IPM) approaches. Chemical acaricides, while effective, are increasingly challenged by resistance development environmental concerns. Biological approaches, including natural predators entomopathogenic fungi, physical interventions, such as habitat modification, provide sustainable alternatives but require further optimization. IPM stands out most promising long-term solution, integrating multiple approaches to enhance efficacy reducing risks. The role, magnitude, and molecular nature of trans-driven expression variation underlying the upregulation detoxification genes in pesticide resistant arthropod populations has remained enigmatic. In this study, we performed quantitative trait locus (eQTL) mapping (n = 458) between a susceptible strain generalist herbivore crop pest Tetranychus urticae. We found that single trans eQTL hotspot controlled large differences subset different gene families, as well other associated with host plant use.
