Abstract Aim To explore the experiences and needs of family members during course COVID‐19 critical illness from onset to rehabilitation. Design An exploratory qualitative study. Methods Twelve surviving critically ill patients restricted visiting patients, were interviewed digitally. Reflexive thematic analysis was used. Results Three themes generated data; ‘Experiencing a double burden’, ‘Becoming an insignificant other’ ‘Regaining significance’. Family often themselves, which represented extra burden when patient deteriorated. From admission, became bystanders, deprived most contact with as communication information intensive care unit appeared unstructured haphazard. To investigate the construct validity and psychometric properties of Swedish version Moral Distress Scale-Revised to describe moral distress in an intensive care context.The Italian was translated semantically adjusted context. Health care workers faced new challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic when physical contact with relatives more or less disappeared.The aim of this study is to describe experiences critical nurses (CCNs) working in intensive units (ICUs) under visiting restrictions imposed as a result COVID-19.This followed qualitative design. The purposive sample included CCNs at least 1 year experience an ICU policy affected by pandemic. To describe intensive care managers' experiences of premises and resources in units during the COVID-19 pandemic. Intensive (ICUs) were enormously pressured pandemic from many ill patients, requiring advanced care. Hospital community volunteers increased staff strength. Semistructured interviews held with 12 ICMs who purposively sampled ICU ten Swedish hospitals. Data analysed content analysis. The demands of the pandemic such as staff shortages and limited resources combined with new guidelines regarding infection control may have required prioritizing nursing interventions.The aim this study was to describe critical care nurses' experiences interventions for patients COVID-19 in intensive units (ICUs) during pandemic.A qualitative descriptive gathered from open-ended questions included a cross-sectional online questionnaire. Abstract Background Older people hospitalized for COVID-19 are a vulnerable group due to the disease itself, aging and often loss of hearing vision.
