Surface water is extremely susceptible to pollution stemming from human activities, such as the expansion of urban and suburban areas, industries, cities, agriculture. In fact, sources surface have become most common discharge sites for wastewater, which may contain microorganisms, pharmaceutical waste, heavy metals, harmful pollutants. As a reference standard clean water, quality standards index Malaysia were used. comparison with conventional wastewater treatment methods, new nanomaterial-based methods filtration purification are drawing attention more efficient detection treatment. This prompts use nanotechnology applications control quality, main source consumption humans, animals, plants. paper reviewed application ensure sustainability green environment. also highlighted nanotechnology, namely, nanofiltration membranes, photocatalysis, plasma discharge, nano-adsorbents, in treatment, well nano-sensors monitoring quality. Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) exhibit vast potential in numerous applications, such as wastewater treatment and catalysis. In this study, we report the green synthesis of Ag-NPs using Acacia ehrenbergiana plant cortex extract to reduce cationic Rhodamine B (RhB) dye for antibacterial antifungal applications. The involves three main phases: activation, growth, termination. shape morphologies prepared were studied through different analytical techniques. results confirmed successful preparation with a particle size distribution ranging from 1 40 nm. used heterogeneous catalyst RhB aqueous solutions presence sodium borohydride (NaBH4). showed that 96% catalytic reduction can be accomplished within 32 min 20 μL 0.05% suspension 100 mM solution, 2 mL deionized water, 10 NaBH4 solution. followed zero-order chemical kinetic (R2 = 0.98) reaction rate constant k 0.059 mol L-1 s-1. Furthermore, agents against 16 Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria well fungus. is environmentally friendly inexpensive, yields highly stabilized by phytochemicals. substantial reductions antimicrobial activity reflect novelty Ag-NPs. These entrench effectively remove microorganisms polluted water.
