Chemical fertilizer is widely used to increase crop yield in conventional agricultural system. However, low use efficiency of chemical could lead its excessive application, and thus decreasing soil quality, causing environmental pollution. This study was designed evaluate the physicochemical characteristics slow-release properties biochar-coated nitrogen with different formulations. The fertilizers were prepared biochar-fertilizer ratio 1:9, 2:8 3:7, using urea as core, biochar coating material, nano-SiO 2-starch-polyvinyl alcohol binder. results showed that compression resistance, wear resistance moisture increased ratio, which indicated decrease ingredient loss when packaging, transportation storage. cumulative release, leaching ammonium nitrate lower than those non-coated one, especially decreased from 34.19% 15.42% 10% 30%. dynamic release nitrogen, time be quantitatively simulated by Elovich equation. Therefore, effectively improve fertilizer, had a good performance.
