Abstract The sluggish kinetics of methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) required high‐performing catalysts in the development direct fuel cells. Herein, a phosphorus‐doped MoO 2 nanorods‐supported Pt catalyst was proposed which exhibited remarkably enhanced catalytic performance toward MOR comparison with Pt/MoO and commercial Pt/C. Specifically, ‐P possessed highest peak current density 62.63 mA cm −2 , about 1.38 2.21 times higher than that (45.24 ) Pt/C (28.40 ), respectively. Meanwhile, high intrinsic activity expressed by specific mass activity, largely improved kinetics. Moreover, chronoamperometry CO‐stripping testing successfully revealed superior stability CO‐poisoning resistance ‐P, rendering promising for MOR. theoretical calculation electron redistribution strong metal‐support interaction among catalysts. greatly could be attributed to heteroatom doping engineering, enhancing conductivity, inducing redistribution, thereby leading CO‐anti poisoning ability.

To alleviate the problems of environmental pollution and energy crisis, aggressive development clean alternative technologies, in particular, water splitting, metal-air batteries, fuel cells involving two key half reactions comprising hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) oxygen reduction (ORR), is crucial. In this work, an innovative hybrid heterogeneous Cu/Co bimetallic nanoparticles homogeneously dispersed on a nitrogen-doped carbon layer (Cu/Co/NC) was constructed as bifunctional electrocatalyst toward HER ORR via hydrothermal along with post-solid-phase sintering technique. Thanks to interfacial coupling electronic synergism between Cu Co nanoparticles, Cu/Co/NC catalyst showed improved catalytic activity half-wave potential 0.865 V excellent stability more than 30 h, even compared 20 wt% Pt/C. The also exhibited performance overpotential below 149 mV at 10 mA/cm
