Abstract Efficient energy utilization stands as a linchpin for national security and sustainable development, particularly in developing countries. The transformative potential of big data driving regional economic growth is pivotal advancing the goals sustainability carbon neutrality. This study employs advanced Generalized Difference‐in‐Differences methods to investigate enduring influence establishing Big Data Comprehensive Experimental Areas (BDCEAs) on efficiency within experimental zones from 2008 2020. Our findings underscore significant role BDCEAs fostering practices contributing global pursuit harmonious coexistence between humanity nature. Through rigorous analysis, we reveal variations, emphasizing substantial impact specific areas, while also exploring underlying mechanisms industrial structure upgrading, technological innovation, resource allocation optimization. research enriches understanding factors influencing efficiency, providing valuable insights leveraging digital economy promote greener more future.

Abstract Digital transformation (DT) and Big Data Analytics Capabilities (BDAC) enable SMEs to adapt rapidly changing markets, innovate, maintain relevance in the digital age. Abstract Using a sample from 2010 to 2021 of listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A‐shares, we explore the effect digital economy policy (DEP) at city level on enterprise transformation (EDT). We find that DEP can promote EDT. And outcome remains valid following sequence rigorous tests assess its robustness account for endogeneity. Further analysis indicates plays roles by internal innovation external structural effect. Moreover, this positive will be stronger enterprises manufacturing high‐tech industries those with better staffing structure, higher productivity value. Also, varies regions different government subsidy, infrastructure level, location.
