Industry 5.0 presents itself as a strategy that puts the human factor at centre of production, where well-being worker is prioritized, well more sustainable and resilient production systems. For centricity, it necessary to empower beings and, respectively, industrial operators, improve their individual skills competences in collaboration or cooperation with digital technologies. This research’s main purpose distinguishing point are determine whether truly human-oriented how centricity can be created that, this systematic literature review article analyses clarifies concepts ideologies its respective technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Human-robot collaboration, Digitalization), strategies aim achieving systems, especially for worker.

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered new research areas in supply chain resilience. One of these is viability. Viability extends the resilience understanding from performance-based assessment firm’s responses to disruptions towards survivability both chains and associated ecosystems not only during some short-term but also under conditions long-term crises. To explore state-of-the-art knowledge on methods, models, capabilities, technologies viability, we edited this important IJPR special issue. introduce issue, review existing literature conceptualise seven major pillars viability theory (i.e. viable design, process planning control, ripple effect, intertwined reconfigurable networks, ecosystems, digital chain, Industry 5.0), establish future directions. findings editorial paper, as well articles can be used by researchers practitioners alike consolidate recent advances practices networks lay solid foundation for further developments area.

Unexpected instances have posed challenges to production lines over the last few years. The latest COVID-19 global epidemic is one notable example. In addition its social impact, virus has destroyed traditional industrial system. Industry 4.0 requires adapting changing prerequisites with adaptability. However, next movement, 5.0, emerged in recent 5.0 takes a more coordinated approach than 4.0, increased collaboration among humans and machines. With human-centered strategy, improves for greater sustainability resilience. concept of interconnection via cyber-physical systems. also associated systems enabled by discusses relationship between “man machine,” called robots or cobots. This paper industry possibilities, restrictions, future analysis potentials. new paradigm change that tends bring negotiated settlement because it places less prominence on technology assumes possibilities advancement are predicated aims examine potential implementations 5.0. Once current progress problem were discovered, previous research investigated topic was reviewed, limitations found, systematic procedure developed. classifications sophisticated required this revolution first subjects discussion. There additional discussion application domains such as healthcare, supply chain, growth, cloud production, so on. included problems understand better issues caused organizations some robotic individuals lines.

Purpose The study seeks to understand the possible opportunities that Industry 5.0 might offer for various aspects of inclusive sustainability. aims discuss existing perspectives on classification technologies and their underlying role in materializing sustainability values this agenda. Design/methodology/approach systematically reviewed literature based PRISMA protocol. further employed a detailed content-centric review eligible documents conducted evidence mapping fulfill research objectives. Findings advancement is currently underway, with noteworthy initial contributions enriching its knowledge base. Although unanimous definition remains lacking, diverse viewpoints emerge concerning recognition fundamental potential yielding sustainable outcomes. expected contribution varies significantly depending context nature technologies. Practical implications holds advancing at both firm supply chain levels. It envisioned contribute proportionately three dimensions. However, current discourse primarily dwells theoretical conceptual domains, lacking empirical exploration practical implications. Originality/value This comprehensively explores economic, environmental social Despite promise, supporting effectiveness limited. Certain conditions are necessary realize benefits fully, yet mechanisms behind these require investigation. In regard, suggests several areas future research.

The emergence of Industry 5.0 provides new perspectives for the manufacturing sector, aiming to create sustainable, human-centric, and resilient approaches. Supply chains perform a vital role in realising these objectives by connecting suppliers customers providing value-added products services. However, despite growing interest, consideration this paradigm shift industry remains amorphous. In order address gap, paper presents systematic literature review 103 research articles from an initial corpus 8,079 proposes conceptual framework Chain within sector. is scaffolded on thematic analysis literature, including drivers transition, impacts supply chains, challenges, outcomes. This study valuable insights researchers, practitioners, policymakers seeking examine implications highlighting its potential enhance sustainability, social well-being, economic growth. In manual assembly systems, workers' differences in terms of skills, level expertise and perceived physical effort largely affect the line balancing system performance. Traditional long-term strategic decisions may not respond to workforce changes needs, resulting frequent requests for rebalancing. this study, we propose a methodological framework an easy-to-use Assembly Line Worker Assignment Rebalancing Problem with different options: assignment considering their performance variability, integration worker dependent exertion constraints possibility use trainers assist inexperienced workers. A bi-objective linear programming model is proposed aiming minimise cycle time number reassigned tasks respect initial design while integrating new workers characteristics. The ϵ-constraint approach used build Pareto frontiers problem. This applied three real cases. obtained results show that developed can be successfully manufacturing companies help production managers deal turnover skills heterogeneity.
