Purpose This research examines the impact of integrating lean manufacturing (LM) principles and Industry 4.0 (I4.0) into product development process (PDP) companies in southern Brazil, with objective improving market performance (MP). Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted 110 managers to evaluate level LM I4.0 principles, PDP phases, improvement MP. Quantitative analysis employed analyse data, including confirmatory factor (CFA) ordinary least squares (OLS) hierarchical regression. Findings The study reveals that enhances positively impacts MP companies. Additionally, partially mediates LM-PDP relationship, while I4.0-PDP highlighting their interdependence rather than one being a prerequisite for other. Research limitations/implications has limitations regarding its narrow focus on Brazil absence multiple case studies. This article presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of empirical studies concerning Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field Supply Chain Management (SCM). Over past decade, technologies belonging to AI have developed rapidly, reaching sufficient level maturity catalyze transformative changes business and society. Within SCM community, there are high expectations about disruptive impacts on current practices. However, this is not first instance where has sparked excitement, often falling short hype. It thus important examine both opportunities challenges emerging from its actual implementation. Our analysis clarifies technological approaches application areas, while expounding research themes around four key categories: data system requirements, technology deployment processes, (inter)organizational integration, performance implications. Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic showed that preestablished contingency plans and resilience practices were insufficient to cope with long-term global disruptions. Companies thus struggled develop capabilities ensure their survivability during similar crises. Building on the adaptation-based view (ABV) of supply chain resilience, this study aims offer an in-depth perspective in chains (SCs). Design/methodology/approach paper empirically tests related relationships between adaptation operational continuity. Responses from 252 organisations collected analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling. Findings results support ABV’s theoretical propositions assess possibilities intertwining, digitalisation, a circular economy maturity for SCs. Patient information leaflets (PILs) are vital for conveying treatment details and ensuring patient safety adherence. Traditional paper-based PILs fall short due to their complexity, specific national requirements, dated content, posing challenges pharmaceutical manufacturers such as supply flexibility, resource-intensive updates, environmental impact. The rapidly evolving digital technologies provide promising opportunities transforming traditional PIL into electronic (ePIL), addressing the current limitations creating value-adding propositions involved stakeholders. This paper examines transformation of ePIL within a highly regulated environment from perspective multinational manufacturers. We use hybrid Delphi approach, merging reviews interviews, explore dynamic capability microfoundations when transitioning systems an operations management perspective. Purpose This study aims to explore the impact of digital supply chain capability (DSCC) on financing performance (SCFP) Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The mediating role information sharing (IS) moderating environmental uncertainty (EU) were also investigated. Design/methodology/approach Based processing theory (IPT), this paper constructs a theoretical model investigate DSCC SCFP in 276 SMEs using ordinary least regression test hypotheses. Findings results show that both sensing (DSC) responding (DRC) have positive effects SCFP. IS plays relationship between DSC SCFP, while EU strengthens DRC IS. Originality/value First, takes perspective which extends related studies taking technology perspective. Second, inner mechanism is revealed by introducing as mediator. Third, boundary conditions for DSCC–IS link are clarified considering source requirements.
