ABSTRACT
This
article
conducts
an
in‐depth
review
of
the
existing
literature
on
network
evolution,
with
emphasis
understanding
how
supply
chain
networks
change
and
evolve.
has
identified
a
total
1148
articles
in
area
comprising
120
from
business
1028
non‐business
literature.
Adopting
structured
approach,
we
provide
roadmap
for
evolution
(SCNE)
to
systematically
build
multidimensional
SCNE
bridge
gap
between
theoretical
underpinnings
research
methods
useful
investigate
SCNE.
We
first
broaden
scope
identify
insights
dynamic
wider
array
disciplines.
Next,
categorize
drivers
within
into
exogenous
endogenous
factors.
then
synthesize
frameworks
that
lay
groundwork
future
directions
proposed
context
these
frameworks.
Finally,
outline
contemporary
methodologies
studying
evaluate
their
relevance
application
management
(SCM)
field.
Collectively,
