AbstractBiochar is a solid material that contains lot of carbon and created by heating biomass in an environment where there little or no oxygen. It has become clear biochar holds great promise for combating climate change, enhancing soil fertility, eliminating pollutants, promoting effective waste disposal. In particular, sawdust produced via thermochemical processes drawn attention because its affordability abundant availability. This review paper presents general summary the production processes, including pyrolysis, hydrothermal carbonization, torrefaction, gasification. was observed specific yields performance these methods vary depending on feedstock source, process parameters, equipment used. Additionally, properties biochar, such as content, surface area, stability, also method. The effects operating factors sawdust-biochar temperature, rate, residence duration, are covered study.
