Lignin-Based Nanoparticles Stabilized Pickering Emulsion for Enhanced Catalytic Hydrogenation

The
development
of
green
and
easily
regulated
amphiphilic
particles
is
crucial
for
advancing
Pickering
emulsion
catalysis.
In
this
study,
lignin
modified
via
sulfobutylation
were
employed
as
solid
emulsifiers
to
support
Pd
nanoparticles
(NPs),
thereby
enhancing
the
catalytic
efficiency
biphasic
reactions.
Sulfobutylation
effectively
adjusted
hydrophilic–hydrophobic
balance,
resulting
in
controlled
types
droplet
sizes.
NPs
loaded
onto
with
a
50%
ratio
through
situ
reduction
active
functional
groups,
further
stabilized
by
cross-linked
network
structure
lignin.
hydrogenation

catalyst
exhibited
superior
activity
compared
traditional
Pd/C
catalysts,
which
attributed
high
retention
sites
increased
interfacial
