Abstract Based on China's government‐business relations theory, we use difference‐in‐differences and causal forest to find that local green finance policies can significantly enhance corporate ESG performance especially for nonstate‐owned companies, companies with high levels of executive social capital, non‐heavily polluting in developed regions. We also the financing constraint mitigation effect regional environmental regulation are important mechanisms promoting performance. Additionally, strengthen positive role enhancing value, which is conducive sustainability.

Environmental information disclosure (EID) is a critical element of corporate that can demonstrate companies' dedication to environmental protection stakeholders who are concerned about the environment. Using green patent data Chinese listed companies, this paper tests influence EID on innovation (GI) and regulating role digital transformation. Results show has positive impact GI relationship significantly influenced by Additionally, moderating effect transformation more significant with high opacity, financing dependence, social attention. This study contributes literature perspective firm-level voluntary proposes comprehensive logical analysis framework for GI. Improving the energy efficiency of enterprises is one key means to solve problem shortage. It great significance investigate how environmental information disclosure (EDI) promotes green total factor (GTFEE) enterprises. Based on this, this study calculates GTFEE by combining database Chinese manufacturing and pollutant emission industrial investigates impact EDI industries using a difference-in-difference model.
