Closed-loop
deep
brain
stimulation
(DBS)
shows
great
potential
for
precise
neuromodulation

various
neurological
disorders,
particularly
Parkinson's
disease
(PD).
However,
substantial
challenges
remain
in
clinical
translation
due
to
the
complex
programming
procedure
closed-loop
DBS
parameters.
In
this
study,
we
proposed
an
online
optimized
amplitude
adaptive
strategy
based
on
particle
swarm
optimization
(PSO)
and
proportional–integral–differential
(PID)
controller
modulation
beta
oscillation
a
PD
mean
field
model
over
long-term
dynamic
conditions.
The
aimed
calculate
adapting
fluctuations
caused
by
circadian
rhythm,
medication
stochasticity
basal
ganglia–thalamus–cortical
circuit.

Abstract
Sleep
disturbance
is
a
prevalent
and
disabling
comorbidity
in
Parkinson’s
disease
(PD).

multi-night

recordings

electrocorticography

sensing-enabled

open
loop
fashion,

changes

state

symptoms

of

Advances

neurostimulator
technology
enable

adaptive
DBS
(aDBS)
PD
as
treatment
option
near
future
which
adjusts
demand-based
manner.
Although
aDBS
offers
great
clinical
potential
motor

ABSTRACT
Background
Sleep
disturbance
is
a
