Abstract Fish meal (FM) replacement is essential for the sustainable expansion of aquaculture. This study focussed on feasibility replacing FM with a single‐cell protein (SCP) derived from methanotrophic bacteria ( Methylococcus capsulatus , Bath) in barramundi fry Lates calcarifer ). Three isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated 0%, 6.4% 12.9% inclusion SCP, by 25% 50%. Barramundi (initial body weight 2.5 ± 0.1 g) fed experimental 21 days to assess growth performance, gut microbiome composition histopathology. Our findings revealed that both levels SCP induced detrimental effects fry, including impaired reduced survival compared control group (66.7% 71.7% 50%, respectively; p < .05). Both dietary treatments presented mild necrotizing enteritis subepithelial oedema accumulation PAS positive, diastase resistant droplets within hepatocytes (ceroid hepatopathy) pancreatic atrophy. Microbiome analysis marked shift microbial community potential opportunistic genus Aeromonas . Reduced overall performance highest level 50% ) was primarily associated feed intake, likely related palatability issues, albeit pathological changes observed liver may also play role. highlights importance meticulous optimization aquafeed formulations, need species life‐stage specific assessments ensure health welfare fish aquaculture practices.

The intricate relationship between the gastrointestinal (GI) microbiome and progression of chronic non-communicable diseases underscores significance developing strategies to modulate GI microbiota for promoting human health. administration probiotics prebiotics represents a good strategy that enhances population beneficial bacteria in intestinal lumen post-consumption, which has positive impact on In addition, dietary fibers serve as significant energy source inhabiting cecum colon. Research articles reviews sourced from various global databases were systematically analyzed using specific phrases keywords investigate these relationships. There is clear association fiber intake improved colon function, gut motility, reduced colorectal cancer (CRC) risk. Moreover, state health reflected reciprocal bidirectional relationships among food, antioxidants, inflammation, body composition. They are known their antioxidant properties ability inhibit angiogenesis, metastasis, cell proliferation. Additionally, they promote survival, immune inflammatory responses, inactivate pro-carcinogens. These actions collectively contribute role prevention. different investigations, supplements containing vitamins have been shown lower risk types. contrast, some evidence suggests taking can increase cancer. Ultimately, collaborative efforts immunologists, clinicians, nutritionists, dietitians imperative designing well-structured nutritional trials corroborate clinical efficacy therapy managing inflammation preventing carcinogenesis. The gut microbiota has emerged as a critical player in metabolic and liver health, with its influence extending to the pathogenesis progression of steatotic diseases. This review delves into gut-liver axis, dynamic communication network linking microbiome through metabolic, immunological, inflammatory pathways. Dysbiosis, characterized by altered microbial composition, contributes significantly development hepatic steatosis, inflammation, fibrosis via mechanisms such barrier dysfunction, metabolite production, systemic inflammation. Dietary patterns, including Mediterranean diet, are highlighted for their role modulating microbiota, improving axis integrity, attenuating injury. Additionally, emerging microbiota-based interventions, fecal transplantation bacteriophage therapy, show promise therapeutic strategies disease. However, challenges population heterogeneity, methodological variability, knowledge gaps hinder translational application current findings. Addressing these barriers standardized approaches integrative research will pave way microbiota-targeted therapies mitigate global burden

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and progressive autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (CNS), with both genetic environmental factors contributing to pathobiology disease. While human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes have emerged as strongest factor, consensus on risk are lacking. Recently, trillions microbes residing in our gut (microbiome) potential factor linked MS PwMS show microbial dysbiosis (altered microbiome). Thus, there has been strong emphasis understanding (host environmental) regulating composition microbiota mechanism(s) through which contribute disease, especially immune modulation. A better these interactions will help harness enormous therapeutic approach treating MS.

Recent advancements in sensory research have brought to light the intricate relationship between taste perception and oral microbiota, prompting investigations into their influence on human health, particularly context of dietary preferences obesity. This review aims update current understanding how microbiota choices, elucidating shared metabolic pathways food processing bacteria. Further, this outlines mechanisms underlying perception, emphasising role receptors buds shaping experiences influenced by genetic environmental factors. Notably, we explore bidirectional sensitivity, highlighting potential impact microbial composition thresholds implications for habits health outcomes, such as obesity dental caries. However, significant gaps remain, molecular linking with well long-term effects microbiota-targeted interventions. Future should focus longitudinal studies experimental interventions these connections more deeply, offering insights strategies promoting healthier behaviours managing diet-related non-communicable diseases.

B cells are important for adaptive responses enhance through cytokine production T cell activation. influenced gut microbiota, but the specific populations in their pathologic mechanism remain obscure. Here, we found that numbers highly expressing CXCR5, receptor CXCL13 chemokine, were livers MASH. CXCR5 high non-proliferating naive with inflammatory features mainly residing parenchyma affect pathology. Importantly, revealed induced stimulating TLRs. These stimulator-induced CXCR5hi express TNFα, CD80, MHC class II, leading Consistently, confirmed intravenous injection model.
