The
research
progress
of
endoplasmic
reticulum
(ER)
stress
in
atherosclerosis
(AS)
is
great
concern.
ER,
a
critical
cellular
organelle,
plays
role
important
biological
processes
including
protein
synthesis,
folding,
and
modification.
Various
pathological
factors
may
cause
ER
stress,
sustained
or
excessive
triggers
the
unfolded
response,
ultimately
resulting
apoptosis
disease.
Recently,
researchers
have
discovered
importance
onset
advancement
AS.
contributes
to
occurrence
AS
through
different
pathways
such
as
apoptosis,
inflammatory
oxidative
autophagy.
Therefore,
this
review
focuses
on
mechanisms
development
related
therapeutic
targets,
which
will
contribute
deeper
understanding
disease's
pathogenesis

novel
strategies
for
preventing
